What I would also love to see would be finding wrapped gifts in the wild, like how wrapped gifts were a thing last year. Dunno how those worked, but if they could be baking elf drops, placeholder drops, boss drops, present drops,, then it would be so much easier for those that want to gift but don't have a lot of items..

And as for the wrapped gifts, maybe you could find frost tokens, spice extractors, like a 1% chance of an 2-vis exclusive egg, ingredients like the basket, things like that.

Right now, I don't want to gift. I simply do not feel like I have enough to gift. Gifting requires me knowing what the person wants... and that could change between now and december 25th. I just feel that this would be better because people like me - who don't want to gift because of the reasons Bane cites - would want to gift then.

What MourningLily said, Night. I once owed a player gold, and they said they would send me a "worthless" item with a CoD of the amount I owed.

Pretty standard, right?

That "worthless" item was something I'd been wanting!

Also, I'm going to post on my User Lookup that if I guess wrong and give anyone anything that they don't want, they are absolutely free to re-gift it--this will NOT hurt my feelings, as my gift has saved them whatever it would have cost to get a gift for the person they gave it too.

Absolutely agree with this. Hopefully no one minds that i'll be sitting out on stocking stuffing. I'm just not a mind reader enough to know what any of you want that far in advance and like Bane I don't want to come off as throwing my excess inventory clutter at people when it doesn't fit to the person, either.

I really wish you could gift more items like the stat philters. I do not have a lot of other things to gift and would like to gift more.

It was a "Bats" Background Item, Night. I felt like the only person who didn't get even one of those during Hallowe'en, and then that one just turned up in that trade. (Yeah, could've bought one, but I was seriously broke.)

We tried to keep the lesser items out of the list. We felt that most players have enough philters as is and would just consider more just extra clutter.

So we kept it to what we deemed were valuable items only.
