What do you think now?
First pair is with Gene Two and Mutation Three switched. Showing both G1 and G2 traits for color contrasting and as a 6 trait to show flowing of all traits together.
second set it keeping Mutation Three the same, but brightening Gene Two to lessen the loss against Color One

Have to say, the second set of kelpari, the slightly lightened set, looks like it blends and meshes better to us. The contrast on the bright-spotted set between the spots and just seems a bit much for their coloursheme.
That dark fish-horse. Kind of thing that you wouldn't want to run into on a dark night

Oooh, definitely want!
Personally, I like the first one a tad bit better, because of how good it looks with one of my favorite traits, Bubbles--
First one with Vis Bubbles vs. Second one with Vis Bubbles
I really like those red-glistening black bubbles. The first version, IMO, is also superior to the second when Mystic Water is visible.
Anyhow, I totally need this Theme. I am tempted to just go delete my own Kelpari Theme; this one is so much better.

Also, I would appreciate anybody's feedback on my "Picking Blackberries Lunemara." This Theme is an homage to being a kid and going out after dark with my cousins to pick blackberries by flashlight--or moonlight if the moon was full.
I'm particularly wondering if the yellow is too saturated.

How about now with keeping Mutation Three a darker color, but also lightening up Gene Two?

Hello, Esylana! I've taken a peek at your designs and I do have a few suggestions to add a bit more 'oomph!' to them. :D
Your Bonfire Ryori could definitely use a bit more brightness. Even in the daytime, bonfires light up bright as the sun. A bit more brightness would bring it much closer to the intended theme.
It also helps the appeal to use different traits instead of a matching male and female; shows off more potential.^^
I love the Faelora! But I would suggest a better eye color to make the no-vis have something that stands out. The use of pale yellows is my favorite part of the theme, so maybe something to match that?
I want your Cinnamon Bun Bulbori. It looks tasty enough to eat!
The Blood Oath Nytekrie could also benefit from some more contrasting colors on some of the traits. M1 would work much better with the near-white, since it gives Bone Collar a more natural look and it makes the Moon Armor stand out.
A slight variation in some of the repeating colors would also help to give the theme some more depth. Using Plaguebringer as an example since it stacks the M2 and C2 color side-by-side.
Even a small change makes the colors stand apart, which helps sell the perspective of the mutation being set behind the wing.
The same can be said for G1 and G2, unless the merging of traits is intended. With traits like Zebra Finch and Bearded Vulture, they overlap which turns them into a solid trait. Tweaking the colors, even if only a bit, allows them to stand apart.
Very nice Neph! If you do want to show a different set of traits, I suggest using
Spectral Wings, Monarch Butterfly, Faded Glow, and Faded Rings as part of the combination. I love those traits together on Nephs since it really shows a stand-out difference among the genes with flawless laying.
The Luffox is adorable! ^^
I must say I love the colors on the Nixi; I would never have thought they would work so well together! I would suggest a different G3 color, just to make the runes other than Glowing Stripes visible. If I didn't see it on the profile, I'd have no idea that this Nixi has a G3. I would be most unhappy if I got a themed Nixi with an IN-visible trait.
Try throwing in some more green instead, or even a darker purple.
Mmm, Kelps. Not really a big fan of those in general. I would suggest a more vibrant M1 option. The Kelp and Armor are a bit on the dull side, so maybe a brighter color for contrast would give it some more oomph?
I do like the colors on the Autumn Glow/Candy Corn Sylvorpa, but the G1 and G2 are a bit too drastically different. For the traits that are meant to be one half of the other, it can be a bit awkward. Henna and Poison Dart for example. It may be worth it to consider some of the colors to help the traits mesh better together.
Ichabod Crane Aurleon... Now that I love!! Very out-of-the-box idea! (Not to mention, Sleepy Hollow is awesome.) Main comments: Speckles is a bit hard to see on small images, and like the Nytekrie it could use some variations on the identical colors. Just because it's the most obvious, I'll use Ornate Helm as an example; part of the helm looks like it's embedded in the neck when really, it's just the space between the straps looking like armor. Using something lighter defines the difference.
For the Poison Pollen Lune, my one comment is on the matching C1 and C3. It really loses some of the potential on the genes, since traits like Silky take on the C3 color as well.
On the Mossy Graveyard Draeyl, my only comment would be on the G3 color. The runes look a bit faded, even on larger images.
They would definitely look better if they were more vibrant. And if you lean the coloring a bit towards the yellow, it'll still stand out when paired with a G2.
I hope this can help you add some extra flair to your designs. :)
Edit Changed some images to links to the images for the sake of space and time spent scrolling. XD

Ashleyabstract:
I don't see why that wouldn't work
SpaceElf1:
Hmm... maybe lighten the M2 yellow a little? See how it looks at shades like FFEC5E to you? The C2 green also feels a bit too saturated to us, but it's probably fine
Still would like any people's commentary on our own?

Scath, I think your best is the Mysterious Wisp Zolnixi. I thought at first the Gene One and Gene Two colors were too similar to Color One, but after I played with it in the Generator I concluded that the two gene colors are just different enough for subtle contrast. Ornate Spangles and Sea Darter look particularly nice.
My only concern is the Mutation Two Color. It may be just too pale. Try looking at the Theme with just 1 Vis, in Mutation Two, and I think you'll see that it just has a "washed out" look with a number of those traits.
Overall, though, an excellent color palette. But I have to ask--mysterious wisp of what?
Oh, and I tweaked my "Picking Blackberries" Lune a bit--
In addition to adjusting the M2 color, I tried to make the Frosted Tips more visible. (Frosted Tips is such a pain.)

I appreciate your advice so much! Thanks :)
I will definitely take all these things into consideration and have already make a couple tweaks. Again, thanks. C:
