Started by first cutting out the basic shape of a puffadore. Unfortunately, it was a bit too hard for me to deal with felt like I wanted so I went with paper instead.





The basic shape of the puffadores can be seen. I made it so they'd be touching noses. There's still more details to be added though. The heart was simply cut from paper. And the green inner card part is folded paper. Later this will be changed to black instead.





I took time to try to figure out something to say on the valentine. I selected red for the outside part of the valentine. I also found these pretty rhinestone decals that I thought would be pretty to use.





The image turned out a bit dark so I took another with flash. There's stuff in the picture that I never did end up using.





I put everything together. The other parts of the puffadores were attached. The messages glued on. The inside message on the left side I experimented with some glitter glue. The decals were attached to the outer part. I had some decals left over that I took apart and decided to decorate the outside cover message at the corners. The red outside (cover) was attached to the black inside.

So. I totally was planning on writing and illustrating a small children's book type of thing.. But Cupid, the Universe, and some germ decided to make my Valentine's really special and I've been sick. Just sleeping and drinking cough syrup for over a week.

But enough belly-aching! I made this for my grandmother, who often calls me her "precious treasure" even though I'm two weeks from turning 27. We're really close and she is very important to me. So I drew a grandma bulbori and a baby bulbori hugging.

Got this finally uploaded :D


First got to get my supplies, and a couple paints so I don't go color crazy.


Got my little house done, except a few touch ups. And the cat got its stripes.


I painted the hippo into a galaxy hippo, I used lots of gold finish for stars on this handsome fella.


Kitty cat got some color added to her.


Add some whiskers, eyes and of course a smile and teeth.


Tried to do some impressionist art for a sunset affect on the little house. Also added some pearl finish to the yellow roof and flower petals for some texture :)


Grabbed some animals I've painted in years past for Valentines so they can have a mini party.


The hippo and pig said they needed a selfie in here. :)


Then the rabbit, squirrel, and cat needed a selfie :)

This was a lot of fun! Sorry the pictures only say "carrot" I forgot to put my whole username til after I was done, I'm just called carrot so much here, I forgot the other half a name. I'm really proud of how they turned out too :D

I love the little critters I made, maybe I should go generate them in sylestia so I have some twinners! <3
