The sylesti peeked over the nest, looking down nervously. it seemed an awful long way down...she ruffled her wings nervously as her siblings lept out of the nest without fear. she scooted backwards. at a gentle nudge from her mother, she took a deep breath, squeezed her eyes tight....and jumped.

A ferocious storm is moving into your town: 40 mph winds, hail, the whole deal. But you are a postal worker, and you operate no matter the weather, out you go. As you drive along, a tree branch falls in front of you and you slam into it, knocking yourself unconscious. You wake up... and see a strange creature infront of you. "Hello I'm your partner ______!"

The sylesti gazed upon the upcoming blue moon just peaking over the horizon as the final rays of sun light retreated from the shadows. Soon, they would be able to roam freely, causing mischief. They then snuck away as the shadows engulfed them, their eyes gleaming in the darkness.

The sylesti grinned like a mad man as she looked at all the puppets she held firm in her grasp. all living, bleeding pawns to her "small" game. 'It won't matter if a few go...'

The pulsation of power shook the small frame of the sylesti, with wide terror filled eyes it watched as worlds crumbled around it. All because of its lack of control....

The sylesti swam above the depths below, the sound of waves driven by wind can be heard from above. The gentle 'swoosh' and bubbles produce as they continue their journey through the deep blue.

The sylesti shivered in her cave. It was colder than usual this winter, and lots of prey had froze to death. The sylesti hoped she would survive this year, since she was expecting kits in spring. The wind howled outside as she layer her head down on her paws and drifted off. (Yes that was very bad.. Like 1/4 of what I actually wrote. But I got frustrated and now don't want to rewrite the whole thing. Like seriously -.- lemme just copy this in case it decides to log me out again..)

The jumpy kit was rolling on the forest floor, turning back to see a happy mother, and continued rolling.

Night was falling fast. He needed to find shelter soon. He spotted a cave in the nearby cliff face. That would be a perfect place to rest he thought.
