This guide is great! I love seeing other people get into this stuff as much as I do. My only two cents on everything is that I think if you really want to figure out everything, you'll have to break down each breed and its traits individually. It seems like different traits are acting differently, as they do in real life, but on here it seems most (I'm assuming, I haven't looked at much yet since I just joined) are being expressed as recessive traits, and some are dominant, but others are behaving as incomplete dominance. I don't think there are any yet, but I wonder if there could be sex linked traits in the future as well? Co-dominance could be interesting too, but I don't know if the developers would go as far to incorporate any of those. I'll be keeping an eye on this thread for sure, and if I come across anything interesting I'll be sure to share!

*Edit - Hm, I just discovered how easy it is to look at all the alleles for each breed already, so forgive me if that was already common knowledge. I do have a breeding that came out confusing though, so I'm wondering if anyone has any ideas what happened? The mother has a Mutation 1 BC (the B is for unicorn horn, the C is fire mane) and shows unicorn horn. The father, has BB (double uni horn), also showing a horn. The baby got nothing. Granted, I haven't genetically tested it, but it says "none" for the Mutation 1 slot. Shouldn't it have been 50/50 for getting either BC or BB? Where did my baby's horn go? o.O

Mutations are "unknown" until they become adolescent or are genetically tested. He'll show it when he grows up.

This question may or may not have been answered already, but I'm too lazy to search all 7 pages for it. Will step-siblings mate? (Share one and only one parent.)

@Tomboyt,

Apparently if they share a parent they will not mate.

When you get a profile view, how much does that speed up the ageing?

Is that a thing we don't know yet or is it really obvious and I missed it?

@Vaxl,

I don't know, but not much. I'm searching to see if I can find it now and will reply here again when I find it.

Edit: Alright, after going through about 15 pages in the FAQ section, nobody knew an exact amount of exp profile views and nurture clicks give.

"Eggs will hatch after 3 days, no matter how many nurture clicks they get. They simply speed up the process a bit." (from katasaur)

"Profile Views and Nurture Clicks can speed up the growth of Egglings and Hatchlings." (In the 'tips for newbies')

"Hi there! Egglings take 72 hours to hatch if they aren't nurtured. However, a lot of people nurture eggs/hatchlings everyday which helps them grow up faster." (From Faiona)

So idk if anybody actually knows. But I found with at least 6 or seven nurture clicks and a few profile views, my eggs hatch at the very least an hour early.

Enhanced Essences will produce 4GP pets with the exact HEX colours you want

Is this different now with the new essences? I think the mystical essences might be the ones with exact colors.

yes the mythicals are exact but krin said that he didn't change any of the other essences abilities, so they always were the way they are now.

Enhanced essences don't get the exact hexes. They just don't mess up as badly as regular essences XD
