I don't have any reference photos because I just tried things and if I liked how it looked I went with it:

Gene 1:
Party Speckles. I just tried to make a playful looking one with this:




Mutation 1:

I'd like to say you didn't necessarily make the rules clear so I'm not sure if you meant we can have either ONE of a gene or mutation. Or just one of each so I just made one for both either way just in case that didn't break any rules.



For a gene I call it dipped so it makes them look like they where dipped in something almost like a desert I really like desert's like chocolate banana's so that's where the idea came from.



My favorite dinosaur would have to be a Raptor they look so cool yet floofy with all there feathers so I like them a ton and I would love to have a Raptor of my own so i'd like to turn a Ny'vene in to one. :3

Alright, I'm a terrible digital artist and all I had was MS Paint, so please bear with me here. :)




My gene design is called "Koi Markings". There is a myth that a koi fish swam up a river seeking knowledge, and when he climbed a waterfall, he became a dragon, or something like that. I thought because the Ny'vene is basically a dragon, this fits well. The orange would be the gene color, while the black could be the eye color or something.




My mutation design is called "Twisting Roots" or "Root Armor". I'm not really sure what was the inspiration for me to do this one was. The color of the roots depends on the mutation color.

Bejeweled Battle Armor:
I had a couple oopsies while making this, so please ignore the fact it doesn't all match up shading wise and whatnot. This had to be recreated without layers to some degree from a screenshot.



Chaos Runes:

Gene 3: Celestial Runes/Markings or Star Mage Runes
Mutation 1/3*: Celestial Armor or Star Mage Garb

The "star mage" names are the ones I chose, but as I was drawing them it occurred to me that they could be seen as similar to the Lupora mutation. Please pardon my lazy artwork. :p

*It could be a Mute 1 because it is armor, or a Mute 2 because it is also an aura and could be "essence of the cosmos" or whatnot.

I may add something to the chest area of the mutation, it looks so empty! :O

Gene: Painted Bat
(G2)

After the painted bat, which is possibly one of the most amazing of all bats ever. Not sure if the parts represented in bright orange would be C1 or C3, with the burnt colour being G2 and the red being EC or C2, or if the orange would be G2, the burnt being C3 (red still EC/C2.) Or something else? Who knows.

Mutation: Essence of Aqua
(M3)

Seeings as there's fire, wind, light and... dark? (... demonic, anyhow) accounted for...

Mutation 3: Arcane Shield



I had the runic aura avatar item in mind, except this one surrounds the Ny'vene. The diamonds are more solid than the lines and symbols.
