There isn't much that I can do. The new UI just simply lacks the open space the old one did (because it was bigger).
With at least 15 abilities at max level, that's too much to fit in like one area so I had to divide them up into categories.
I am planning on making it so the Attacks button is automatically pressed when selecting a pet that hasn't selected an ability yet. That should help some.
But honestly, the new system is faster since now End Turn is keybound. I can press A 3 (click target) E faster than 1 (click target) (click end).
Pressing A then 3 takes like a hundredth of the a second.

I understand that. XD It's just clumsy as-is. I keep getting bits of latency where the interface will skip to the next pet without recording the pet's action as the result of lag, wherein I have to click to find out which one hasn't attacked yet. Having attack auto-selected will definitely help.

Not sure if it's a bug, or if it just hasn't been coded yet, but mend doesn't seem to recover HP? The required mana gets used, and mend can't be used again afterwards, but no HP gets restored. ^^

@Blue,
Hm. Is it every time or only at the end of a battle?

Mend should be working properly now.

I love the new setup, but I miss how streamlined battling used to be. I really don't like having to select attack or finisher and then the attack and then the enemy... It was so much simpler before. >-<
I totally agree with this. I mean, probably some of it is me being resistant to change - I know any time game UIs change it can be hard to get used to no matter what. But I feel like this UI isn't just different, it's awkward. I don't like how the attacks bubble (or finishers bubble, or whatever) pops up over top of the other info on the screen... I kind of think that's not really all that great objectively, whether or not there's a "getting used to it" aspect involved. I feel like things need to be reworked to give the specific moves (block, specific attacks, etc) more space, whether or not they're all available in one row.
Although - it could just be my browser? I know there were non-Sylestia things recently that haven't been working so having the bubbles pop up over things could be just me.
I like how the things in the "manage" menu are easy to get to, although I'm wondering if this means only two different potiony things are available? I can't select them so am not sure if it takes you to a further menu or not.
Basically I'm not sure about most things - sorry I'm giving feedback with a browser that very much needs to be restarted.
(One thing I am sure about is that personally, I really don't care for the graphical style of the UI as it stands now. The colors seem very washed out overall and I think the buttons themselves look simplistic and clunky at the same time. I really want to like the upcoming stuff - right now I'm not looking forward to the changes but I'm hoping I'll feel differently down the road.)
edit: another thing I thought of is that having end turn hotkeyed does save time, but I didn't see another way to select a pet (for it to attack etc) but to click on it. Is there another way that I haven't seen yet?

The ability pop up in the window to save space. I tried to make this window smaller so it's easier for those with smaller screens.
As far as the split between Attacks/Finishers, we are already seeing what we can do to improve it. But again, it was done for space reasons.
For the consumable usage, they are divided into categories: Potions/Elixirs/Draughts.
For selecting pets or enemies, you must click on them. There is no hotkey to do so. However, when you command one pet the script automatically selects the next pet for you.
Lastly, for the UI, I'm sorry that you don't like it. But for now, it's the UI that we're going to be using. It's nothing flashy at all, but I hope everyone at least finds it an improvement over the original plain box.

Ahh. I didn't get that at all. I guess my problem is I'm *still* confused on the visual and practical differences between elixirs and potions. I should know by now, but it's a problem new users may have as well.

*nod* Automatically selecting the next pet is good. (I don't think with my browser that functionality is coming through (but I very much think there's some things on my end causing problems).) But I'd be interested in knowing if "the new system is faster since now End Turn is keybound" actually holds true if we just have an extra button press at the beginning instead of the end. Maybe something to think about, but probably won't matter since you are looking more at the split between attacks and finishers.

Honestly, I visually prefer the older stuff because, first of all, there wasn't so much distracting me from the beautiful background art to the site that wasn't itself beautiful (and I get to look at the art inside the box for each different area as it loads - dunno if that'll be kept or not). And secondly, I prefer UIs where the elements are all there for a purpose (whereas for example the blank space between the specific attack buttons and the 3D effect could each serve the same or similar purpose as the other). I'm not trying to argue, as you say the new stuff is going to be used for now. I just am trying to explain where I'm coming from, that I'm not looking for anything flashy. (In fact one of the original draws for me to this site was that it wasn't super slick and fancy.)

I found that if I accidentally use a movement button again when I have an enemy pop up then I can't select any other options. Also, is there any way that the level of your pet can be added somewhere like with the previous design.
I'm glad you're taking a look at the UI. I've mastered the art of A+3 but throwing in a F+4 if I want to use fairy light using one pet when I've got multiple enemies up just doesn't go smoothly for me yet.
