I apologize in advance; I can be a tad neurotic.

1 and 5 - These streamers plus the adult male's main visible streamer don't match the adult female's main visible streamer
2-7 : Have been altered in the following image
8 - Leg fur feathers down too far on the leg on the adult female vs the adult male
9-18 : Have been altered in the following image

Other Issues I Have :
- Adult female's head and chest appear closer. It could also be that the image is skewed with the left side having been pulled to the forefront. In general, she appears larger than the male.
- I like the shape of the hatchlings' tails however they should be fluffier in order to better match those of the adults. Also, the male hatchling's tail fur by the rump is defying gravity by feathering upwards.
- Female hatchling also appears contorted. The head doesn't seem to be turned far enough compared to the way her body is angled.
- The paws on the adults appear too big, whereas the hatchlings should have huge paws as puppies do before growing into them.
- I think, overall, the body (chest and abdomen) should be shorter and stockier to appear less similar to the revamped zolnixis.

While I do not believe that a revamp of Puffadore a redesign of the Puffadore was necessary, I do realize that if it was the only one that was not revamped redesigned, then there would be complaints. I do see some problems with these new Puffadores. The majority of them existed in the old design as well, but seeing as they have not been fixed, I will attempt to explain them to you.

1. The female Puffadore's legs seem quite awkward; one appears broken (The front right one) and they all are short when compared to the size of her body and head.

2, The male Puffadore's muzzle, in my opinion, is too long and is at an unnatural angle to his face. His neck is very slim due to the lack of adequate fur.

3. Lastly, the female hatchling's left foreleg is slightly longer than her others.

The corrections are in red, and some things not described above are outlined in the image.
Whether or not these are improvements are subject to disagreement, most likely, by you and others.

They look so dignified and beautiful! I'm really curious how the gene layout will work. If it's going to be the same as it is currently or if there'll be some changes to how it works.

@Eots The Puffadore base is one layer, causing massive conflicts of layering. (See MistDragon's first post in this thread if you are unaware of the layering conflicts). One of the main purposes of many of these revamps is to fix that, and segment the lineart into multiple sections so that they can avoid those problems in the future.

Anyhow! I think this is a really good start, but I do have to agree with some of the posts on the thread. In particular, Taps comment about the front legs all being kind of.. bald looking, in this particular design. The existing design didn't give them foreleg tufts either, but most of the fur was 'implied'. By detailing out the fur in the lineart on the rest of the body, it draws attention to the forelegs not having any sense of tufted fur at the upper backs of the legs where fur usually would taper.

Similarly, the complaint about the paws seeming too large comes from this as well. The original style did not have detailed toes. In most cases of increasing the detail on a drawing of a canine creature, greater toe detail would be welcome! However, because this is a long haired species; and having owned a Papallion myself; the dog this species is loosely based on, I feel that it kind of hurts them in this case. Papallion paws are very slim and low to the ground. They are a toy breed, so they don't have a lot of muscle and traction going on to warrant those strong looking toes, and their fur usually covers all the detail going on in the toes by being so long. Detailing the toes out fully only causes the legs to look more bald, because of this.

I also notice the head size difference, and I think the male head could stand to get a bit bigger or the female a bit smaller to even that out.

I like how the new ones look, but the older ones looked more like chihuahuas... :( The female one looks better, though!

They look brilliant to me - well done, artists!

Having read through the comments made by others these would be my thoughts but mostly things come down to personal preference.

I would prefer a softer look to the male's mouth. They have always looked grumpy and aloof to me and the contrast between the male and female expression is rather stark. I would love to see a hint of a smile as some have suggested.

Personally I love the more clearly defined paws and the female's raised front leg.

The female is decidedly more 'chunky' than the male. I feel that it would look better if either he was 'beefed up' a little or she was slimmed down or perhaps a touch of each.

The one thing that actually looks slightly wrong to me is the way that the tail joins to the body but I can't pinpoint what it is. Maybe it would look better a little thinner or slightly further back?

Thanks for all the hard work!
