Not sure if I like the mouths on the adults. After all moths and butterflies don't have mouths. It just kinda looks weird. Other than that they are very nice. My first reaction was that they look a little Disney-esc!
Well, most butterfly species have a curled-up proboscis, which is what this curly nose looks like. I think the suggested smile underneath that makes them look more relatable, and why would they have to be 100% realistic as compared to real world animals, they're Sylesties after all. If we can have dogs with wings, we can have butterflies with mouths - why not? I think the right one (I assume that's the female) looks cute with it. On the left one, the nose conflicts unfortunately with the eye and hair behind it, causing it to look confusing and muddled-up - I hope this problem can be fixed.
I also don't like the bodies, the female bends at an odd angle, making it look kinda broken, while the male looks like a squished pillow and not a segmented insect at all.
Here's a real butterfly body closeup, clearly separated between thorax and abdomen, and with visible segments on the latter:
On a moth, which is after all what they are, the waist may not be narrow, but they still have visible segments and a separation between thorax and abdomen:
Without that, the design looks a little careless to me, as if it's only a rough drawing and the details are missing.
That first image also makes me think that the arms/legs issue some are seeing could be fixed by having two pairs of "arms" and a clearly separated pair of "legs". It's not what their design is now, but could be worth thinking about, maybe.
All in all, I love the babies, but am not convinced by the adults.
I have edited the images of the female lunes, both hatchling and adult, to what I would consider to be the ideal lunemara revamp. ^v^
The edits are based on the opinions of both me and others.
This please. I'd rather not state opinions that everyone else has had, but I agree that the revamp looks kinda silly, especially compared to the other pets. Something like the above looks so much more buglike, and fits well with the page. Tho my opinion doesn't matter so much as I own only one of these buggies at the moment.
Though one thing that I personally see that I haven't seen stated yet is that the dimorphism has gone a little overboard stereotypical. The female is /very/ thin in comparison to the male, the head tuft should be on both or neither.
I do like the wings, and I like that the wings are coming out of the back properly. That was one thing that bothered me about the old Lunes is that the wings seemed to both come out of a single shoulder blade instead of properly from either side of the back.

I second that. It feels more like a revamp than the new design. Please, pretty please? Could the revamp go more along these lines?

They look nice, but i kind of prefer the more bug-like expressions of the current lunes.
I didn't add this to my first post because someone quoted me, and I don't want to seem to be "putting words in their mouth."
It occurred to me--if Lunemaras are not moths (and they are not, any more that Kelparies are kelpies or Zolnixies are foxes) why can't they have mandibles? Mandibles could be drawn so as to be quite expressive.
Even a not-artist can make simple mandibles look a bit like a smile. A real artist could probably do a lot with mandibles.
(Humbly submitted for everyone's consideration.)
I like the idea! It would be a good mouth alternative.

Aww, the babies look SOO cute!! But the adults... they seem kinda off, somehow.

I just saw this and have to agree that it looks adorable.

I much prefer the older versions, they are much more bug like then these...things.
I do suggest a redraw of these revamps. Make the face and body more bug like and make the legs smaller or thinner.
Plus they are way too up right, they look like Sparx from the legend of Spyro series and he is a fairy.
I am afraid if these are the final look then I will get rid of my Lumaras as well, sorry but that's seams to be my only choice.

I was looking forward to this because I LOVE lunes... but.. I gotta agree the adults look kinda creepy, because they look kinda human?
Really not sure on how to fix that... Maybe spread the legs apart (like space them out down the body a little?), so they don't look like they are all coming out of the same place? Also, the body seems too long and skinny. Like where the bend is at, maybe make it a little lower? And maybe a bit fatter.
Really hate to say it, but if they stay similar to this, I will not be keeping any of my lunes. :( I really like the female adult someone re-did, though, I would be happier if they were like that.
But omg I want to keep baby lunes. Love the little 'pillars. <3
