wind sing in our ears
the moon will shine once more

Magyak101's Poem Archive 2
A
Breath of fresh air,
Like the laugh of a small child when
They run and fall and are up again
To live how they dont break when they bend
A
Spark of hope, the aching
Feeling like when your heart is breaking
The
Kind of heart-felt soul-fear shaking that
Sends you back under the covers
Like
Feeling eyes on your back when its nighttime
And you can see outside when the clouds dont cover
Like a whisper or the touch of a lover
That
Swelling motion when the waves churn the black ocean
A
Kind of power you can see when it comes to rise
The dreams that force your hoping that one day youll close your eyes
And open up again to see the dawn break
Feel love take
Like a snapshot
Embedded in your mind
You find
You love him.
You see the shadows slightly dim the sky above him
And suddenly you see
That shes the girl you want to be
You know it
We all know you are held back by the fear that you might blow it
That every time you open up your eyes you have to close them
Because thats how the world turns, but you love him!
You arent fit to live your life in this present condition
He sparks in you that ever-present kind of recognition
Who knew you could be so touched by someones imagination
Do you think he realized what he was getting into?
And every time you see that pretty smile now, youre burning
You can be desensitized to living life with all your yearning
And now youre paralyzed because you realized the hands on the clock are turning
Just burn pathways in your mind
Its like a fairytale-story kind
Of loving a demon at first sight
Just a child
But youre old on the inside.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
An rat in a cage
Claws to get out,
Scratching and burning and turning about,
It wants to be free,
To reach its destination
And so my heart burns with the same desperation.
A bird with clipped wings
Sings for its sorrow
Defenseless, it likely wont be there tomorrow
It longs for the sky
And the sun and the moon
Just how my heart sings a heartbreaking tune.

Once I had a friend named Shawn
And every day (at half past one)
He would stand across the road
And close his mouth around a prawn.
The neighbor boy (who was a wimp)
Fainted as Shawn chomped the shrimp!
His mother screamed, his father yelled
"Get out of here, you little pimp!"
Why did he do it? I know not,
But I do know the neighbors sought
To rid themselves of Shawn, my friend!
Naturally, I was distraught!
Down to court they herded Shawn
The gavel banged, and it was on:
"How do you charge this child here?"
"He closed his mouth around a prawn!"
The judge, he fainted! How distressing!
Shawn was scared, and now caressing
One of said pink-shelled invertebrates
"Maybe good with salad dressing?"

You like to be social, you like to talk,
You used to live under a rock,
Im struggling with writer's block
But still, I wrote you this.
You had a rabbit you called Furry
In the Thrift Stores, you were an entrepreneur-y
I have to write this, Im in a hurry
For your birthday I did miss.
Y'see, I checked my calendair
Which quickly made me quite aware
I send you wishes, love, and care
(And then jump into the abyss)
This poem isn't quite my best
I have to get this off my chest,
This writing I shall lay to rest
The quality, please dismiss.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Words and thoughts,
The things that I think
Bout as good as writing invisible ink
A pen in the hand can do so much more
My mind has to work itself into my hand
But then I am already done
And its too late, for writing
So just go search the web
Take the dog out, and lie down in my bed
Texting my friends
I can write, in the end
I just need the proper motivation
Which I dont have
Catch my chair with a knife for a backstab
Laptops are slapping my hands on the keys
And my mouse just keeps acting up
(Seriously, though, this mouse problem is getting annoying)
But please, back to the problem at hand,
Take the dog out, go lie down in my bed
Texting my friends
I can write, in the end
All that I need is the motivation
Can I get it?
Regretting my life as I read it
Out to the class here at RISE
Get an edit
Or maybe just toss in the trashcan, I said it
And wrote it in notes at midnight in bed
It is just
A line on a paper but, NO
It has to be harder, Im thinking Im slow
How can I live my life, if not responsibility
Of finishing one two-word story?
Once upon
I spend all day with these ideas, I have it all in my head
Why cant I get it out?
No way it could want to stay in there,
Honestly, though, why do I care?
Why do I chase a hobby that
Stuck in my mind whether in heaven or a laundromat
Words that say elephants and finding cheap tourist traps
If I dont get a break, I think my minds gonna snap
Please, lets return to the problem at hand,
Take the dog out, go lie down in my bed
Text all my friends
I can write in the end
I just need the proper motivation.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
My heart within a coffin lies
And every time I see those eyes
It wakes a moment, then it dies.
What more else have I to say?
My heart inside a coffin lay
A year ago, and so shall stay.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I'll do what I want, believe what I believe
Don't look if you don't like what you are gonna see
What I am is simply what I have to be
I'm not outrageous, not rebellious, I'm me.

The Devils Obsession
Sitting on pristine marble stairs,
euphoria and sweet ambrosia at her back,
the dark, unholy abyss' screams facing her down.
Heaven and Hell,
she belongs in neither, and both.
A blessed virgin with scarred skin and a broken mind,
soul as bright as a roman candle,
sparks flickering and twisting to touch upon others,
a heart blackened by pain and hurt,
numbing her from within.
Strong enough to pull others up and along,
drive them to victory,
too weak to do herself justice,
lost amongst oncoming traffic.
Beauty to rival another,
dream girl for the daydreamers,
fantasy girl of the night wanderers,
haunted eyes that tell a harsh story,
recalling past heartaches.
Mind quick and bold,
the trigger to the gun pointing at her head.
She's sitting there, on pristine marble stairs,
she knows where she's going,
she wants the light, but she knows it's not right.
She's not one to hesitate, she knows her fate,
she's brave and cowardly.
A bird stuck with its wings knotted within barbed wire,
fragile bones twist and turn in elegance,
her lungs heavy, her feet light,
she's tugging further into its grasp,
she doesn't whimper or weep, she's ready to take the leap.
The hollow is all she feels now,
encompassed by layers of black silk,
in the darkness lies her creator,
her new founder.
She had beauty to rival another,
the dream girl for the daydreamers,
once a fantasy girl of the night wanderers,
her haunted eyes that told a harsh story,
recalling a life of past heartaches.
Her mind quick and bold,
the enemy untold.
She's sitting there, on a throne of bone,
she knows her home, her forever tomb.

Breaking The Surface
Don't worry love, I may have lost my touch but I haven't lost the feeling,
it's written in the water, it's our mark to bare
we're making our own way out here,
carving roads of fire while on our hands and knees.
There's no time to save ourselves from these shallow graves
wine-stained lips are the tainted sins of our dreams,
what we have is true love in all its ungodly glory,
burning my eyes, I sip the water.
Booze saturated teeth, we lose hold,
open veins, we breathe the oceans below.
Cradling each other's tears we break the lock,
I am cold from what we've done,
treading water we fall deeper,
there is no corner to take, no u-turn to be made,
skin shallow crescent moons appear,
it's always you with the hatchet to bury,
Booze saturated teeth, we lost our hold,
open veins, we breathed the oceans beneath.
There's no time to save ourselves from these shallow graves,
wine-stained lips are the tainted sins of our dreams,
what we have is true love in all its ungodly glory,
burning my eyes, I sip the water.

Broken Keepsakes Burnt bridges and turning tables
leave what was once safeguarded
now unprotected, broken and untamed.
Once fondest memories now scorned
left to wither like that of a tree in the month of December.
Faith once solid and sure
tested like that of rolling dice,
chance the only constant.
Books of wisdom now fragile
left to fade like that of footprints in coarse sand.
Emotion once shared and celebrated
pulled and frayed at the edges,
disarray the image of certainty.
Once beautiful and lush
left dilapidated and neglected like that of ancient bricks and mortar.
Life once grasped and sheltered
torn and ruined for all to see,
death portraited as sweet relief.
Once sacred and precious
left to rot and decay like that of fallen treetop apples.
Ones point of no return now imminent,
farewells are soon due,
all is left behind is times forgotten.
Thoughtless inattention now a present condition
for things once loved and treasured.

not really a poem, persay, actually it's a rap I wrote in memory of Ziyal from DS9 (star trek), but...
I give you...
"Broken Heart, Broken Mind"
Sound alarms, rush through the door
You aren't winning anymore.
Away you wave your shattered dreams.
Life is tearing at the seams and
You can't do a single thing
But soar away on your clipped wings
And pray that villains get happy endings.
But we all know it isn't true. A peaceful life is not for you
For all you want is glory,
A satisfying story,
And maybe a poem and a bronze statue.
But these things will never come.
You can't hide from the things you're running from and
As your mind falls into a hundred pieces you find that your thesis
Was flawed.
And now you're cursed by an enemy's god,
Two worlds and two gods
And you've nowhere to turn but an army of demons,
Skeletons with a vice grip on your throat
It's too late for her
She's gone with "she's a traitor sir"
And there is nothing you can give to get her back,
Lost to a misguided attack,
The one thing you loved is the one thing you lack.
Broken heart, broken mind.
A reason for winning this war.
You swore that you'd never love anymore,
And yet there is someone you'd give your life for in a second.
Not a moments hesitation.
Just to feel the sensation of love, and not being alone
Because you are so, so lonely.
You love her, she is your only.
You don't know why she loves--loved you and I guess you never will,
A last remark as the one final kill,
And you're lost again, swimming in the sea of confusion
Can't be real, can't be her, it must be an illusion
A perverse parlor trick
Snuff the light, clip the wick,
Because your heart won't be burning with love after this you feel sick.
Nauseated.
One smile, one kiss, and this love was created,
A stab in the back with a knife that's serrated,
Just one motion and again you are cast in the ocean
And you can't swim. You don't want to
Sinking down, into the deep blue where they can't see you.
Because you must never let them see you
Steal your heart like the love that deceived you
Never again will you let down your shields to
Let someone heal you.
Broken heart, broken mind.

What is the Truth
Will we ever know the true truth?
If someone stares you in the face,
says a few words,
and says that's the truth...
How do you know?
The whole world could be saying a statement,
saying it's true,
with every person on every continent
shouting out that this is the truth,
what if they lie?
How would you know?
You never can tell
when a person is lying
or not.
You may think it's the truth,
know it's the truth,
but do you really know that
it's truly the truth?
The whole galaxy could be a lie,
and nobody knows it.
I could be lying,
but how could you tell?
How could I tell?
The truth will never be found, on this Earth or another.
Not even the purest of heart knows the truth.
The truth is a mystery that will never be solved,
even until after the end of time.
