on sand sculpting can you use more than one pearl on a sculpture/pet? like if you have a golden and a mundane pearl can you use both on the same sculpture?

You cannot.

You can override a lesser pearl with one that's greater or you can use 10 Mundane Pearls and transmute them into 1 Golden Pearl - or 10 Golden Pearls into 1 Prismatic Pearl.

I loved the Solar Eclipse event! It was really fun! (Of course the auto-logs were frustrating but obviously just couldn't be helped in this situation. I kinda think it made the first time more exciting though for having to rush back in as fast as you can. lol) I think it made a really great use of the day/night mechanic already in Sylestia. Super creative!

Other things I've been enjoying during this fest are the longer breaks planned between leaderboards to give time for people to re-energize, the zone itself which is just amazing, and seeing new traits. I particularly like the new lighira traits!

I know there's also been some discussion of when leaderboards should start. I personally prefer the noon time because it lines up a lot better I think with most people's sleep schedules along with my own. Having already a particular sleep schedule, I found I couldn't get to sleep early to prepare for waking up for midnight and thus had to just stay up through the night. The first few hours of a leaderboard I think are very important. I personally like to devote a lot of time early on battling as fast as possible to develop a large lead to act as a buffer. This I imagine could be extra discouraging to players who woke up late to the contest. Once you have a head start you can keep an eye on the board and give yourself time to work on other stuff or if you see someone else starting to work on it you can work to increase your buffer again. You can get a good gauge of how fast other people move on the board to pace yourself as well if you're watching very carefully how scores change. I suppose in this way midnight could be an extremely useful tool for the really dedicated. It's just really hard to function at a certain point though and I personally felt rather miserable trying very hard to keep my eyes open and not fall asleep in my chair. (I would periodically go walking around outside to try to wake myself up.) My husband actually wanted me to drive somewhere in the middle of that day, too, and I was just no. I can't do it. I didn't want to cause an accident with me feeling very much not myself by that point. I do imagine there's others that have less choice about having to leave the home on the day a leaderboard starts and couldn't stay up like I did.

I got to thinking though that maybe what could be done is to have a compromise with two leaderboards set up for noon time and one set up for midnight. I do think the midnight time is very nice for those who live in very different time zones than US central time to have a chance to play at times more convenient to themselves for a change. So it would go first round noon, second round midnight, and third round noon. Would something like that be possible with the larger breaks between leaderboard rounds still?

Anyway, that's just my thoughts on the leaderboard stuff. Overall really happy with the fest. I've gotten a couple fabled catalysts to drop already which I feel really rewards the effort I've put into the game since I grind a lot. I do wish that it was a bit easier to get siren tears but you already mentioned you might look at the numbers on those this weekend. Again, I just can't express how much the eclipse event was super awesome! This is my favorite zone done so far. Also, I love the return of the caves! Very fun to take glowy looking tanks through! Thank you so much for everything!

The Solar Eclipse event was an excellent addition to this Summer Festival. I'm one of those unlucky individuals who never sees a single themed pet in the ordinary festival zone, so this was rather refreshing! It finally let me use up all of the traps I've accumulated. (Still only caught three, but that's just my luck.) And the twenty-minute heyday was a lot of fun. In total so far, only 963 Solar Eclipse pets exist (with only two of those being Nephinis!). I'm looking forward to seeing how that changes with these upcoming mini-events.

As usual, though, I'm gonna bring up a petty complaint that nobody else is going to agree with. I just feel like the pets are a bit too orange. While it's true that during the beginning and ending portions of the eclipse, the sun - especially with solar filters - does appear that orange, I feel that the main attraction of the solar eclipse is during totality, when the corona is visible as a ghostly, almost-white colour. The Lunemara does a better job of illustrating it, I think, but the others are almost exclusively shades of black, orange, and saturated yellow.

But I guess nothing can be done of it now, and, like I said, it's a very petty complaint. I still love the Solar Eclipse pets both as a concept and for their aesthetic appeal. Thank you very much to Krinadon and Faiona!

Actually, I agree with this. They look more like they should be Halloween themed sylestis.

For example, when we traveled to look at the eclipse, it was also white, red, and other colors, not just exclusively orange and yellow.

Wow, no one's ever agreed with me before...

Yeah, I was just looking through the generator comparing the two. As shown below, there's really no way to tell them apart in some cases.

Still, it wouldn't be the first time that themed pets have looked alike.

I was thinking the same thing! This is kind of what I pictured when I thought eclipse pets (I just whipped them up, didn't work out the genes and muts or anything):

Anyway, it's not really a complaint, I just thought I'd share my idea.

Well, maybe we can get more realistic solar eclipse Sylesties for the next solar eclipse in two years. That's just about the only thing that can be done short of changing the colours for each and every one of the new SE themed pets.

Edit: Oh, and I would completely support those designs for solar eclipse themed Sylesties. They're more of what I pictured, too. :)
