They are generally very nice, but the adults need longer legs to look more wolf-like (seeing as a more wolfy appearance is what most people seem to want).
The legs shouldn't be thicker though, wolves are generally very slim animals.
Also maybe lift the adult males head so he doesn't look so hunched. Maybe give him a sort of downward gaze to appear more intimidating.

the ays on the female hatchling don't look as good as the adults and the tis could maybe cover a bit less o the body and i was thinking the hair could be i bit less fluffy and curly but other than that IT IS AWSOME!!!!!

Hello fellow Sylestians! It is that time again...revamp time! Our next revamp is the Lupora, which was picked by a site wide community poll. Below are the first edition sketches that were done for them. Please when giving feedback remember to be respectful and constructive! We are always open to changing things and these are just sketches and not the final lineart. Thank you! :)
I love the adults. Love them, love them, love them. The hatchlings seem a little off to me, though - their heads feel angled a bit strangely - too far upwards, maybe - and the male's tail sticks up a bit too quickly, in my opinion.
But otherwise, awesome. I could totally imagine a Flame Tail mutation, with the female hatchling's tail.
edit - the male adult's forelegs seem a bit stiff, he could use a bit of a bend there.

Wow! Love them!
The only thing I'd change (and totally a personal preference thing) is I'd like to see the male's head be a bit blockier.

I know it's probably just because of it being a sketch, but I like how the female almost has "bags" under its eye. I dislike how the female sylestis seem to universally be more doe-eyed and "cute" than the males, but the eye bag makes her look a bit wild/rugged while also giving the illusion of being, well, doe-eyed. I hope that makes it into the final pass! It'd be nice to have at least one sylesti species where the females look wild rather than demure. Wolves do not abide by human gender roles, after all. How universally female sylesti are more feminine is unappealing and annoying imho, both in a biological and diversity (a lack thereof) sense. Mix it up!!
I also quite love the mane on the female. It looks very nice with the slight curling. I think it'd look very nice on both genders if their manes were taken and made to look more "rugged", like they're wild animals. Or at least on one gender for options. Maybe one could look more well-groomed and another frazzled/bristly like they just got out of a fight? heh. I do think it's nice as-is though and wouldn't be disappointed if not changed in the slightest.
I feel like there's something off about the legs. The length/thickness has already been gone into, but I'd like to add that I actually think the main reason why people are feeling the legs are too stubby is because of paw proportions. The length and thickness of the legs is about in line with an IRL gray wolf (maybe a bit too short, but only very slightly), but with how defined the paws are it makes them look fairly disproportionate. Wolves in general don't have the well-defined big ol' peets that animals such as, say, a snow leopard have, which is what they remind me of; more of an extension of the leg, if that makes sense. The division is less harsh and more tapered (though their paws are still pretty large). Examples:
Mexican Wolf
Gray Wolf
If the feet were slimmed down to look less like Balto-style, I think it'd be a huge improvement. I feel like they're an okay proportion for the pup's paws, but the defined claws make them look quite cluttered and too mature for a hatchling. Pup claws are not quite grown in yet:
(They're also sharper than adult's due to not being worn down yet; adult claws are rounded due to being worn down)
Actually now that I think of it, how defined the adult's claws may be playing into the issue as well. They're quite large relative to the paw.
Timber wolves have claws that are about as defined, but each nail isn't centered on the toe:
While ofc lupora aren't strictly based on one single real-life species of canid, I think that, ehhh, picking and choosing from different species can result in an overall less cluttered and more streamlined look. Down to personal taste on my end, but lupora seem like they should be a sleek powerhouse, rather than a clunky one yea?
As for leg positioning, I'm not quite sure how to explain the issue, but it feels like the forelegs are planted more widespread than they should be. They're more like dog legs with how much space there is between the "elbows" and chest.
I feel like the female's tummy tucks in too much as well. More like a dog bred for speed than a wolf. I'm a bit brain dead at this point to explain lol but might also be worth keeping in mind?

I agree with everything that has been said about the legs. Also I think they are adorable, I like the Lupora already and have a few myself.

They look like corgis :-(
Their legs are rather short/stubby for their bodies. I think they became closer to the puffadore look. I think sticking to their fiercer look would be best for a wolf type.
