Are all the tasks functional, or am I just not finding some of the things I need to be looking for?

They should be, yes.

There have been some issues over the weeks with them though. I actually purged some broken ones this morning that were brought to my attention via the Bug Report Forum.

I would like an individual look at completing the first half. as I still have not been able to build a barracks or defeat the thing to allow me further into the game.

Just came back from Hiatus...I forgot about that, utterly. I can find the caverns later I guess.

Maybe I just got unlucky and the caves didn't spawn right (wouldn't be the first time...I have a notoriously low Luck Stat in real life). I'll keep looking in my runs over the week to see if I can get any of them to work.

This is kinda a minor thing, but I've noticed that chests haven't been respawning behind the disciples and golems.

Chests near and around the ancient cave creatures are working just fine. But I'm pretty sure there were chests behind the disciples at first...? There's definitely room for some. And I know for sure there were chests around the golems, since I remember walking into the one room and seeing a chest surrounded by stalagmites.

It's pretty small and I don't expect it to be a priority or anything. Just wondering if it could eventually be fixed. ^.^

They are random. Each chest will respawn as a random other chest of its group that isn't currently active.

Oh woah, looks pretty cool, can't wait till I can explore it myself.

Huh... it just struck me as odd since I don't think those nodes have respawned even one time since I first went in the caves. Ah, well.

This same thing happened to me too. For two or three days no chests or ore veins would spawn at all in the caves before the village, so I exited the Lost Grove and stayed out of it for more than 24 hours to make sure all spawn points would reset. After that everything went back to normal and I haven't had this issue again.
