"Throw me another tomato," demanded Akio.

"No."

"Please?"

Jay ignored him. "I guess that scroll meant you get a schedule change, right?"

"Not much. It's just that now I have Engineering last period so I don't have to miss much if we go to a tournament or something, after all half the class will be gone."

"Whatever. If you get bored of Engineering, we can ditch class together."

"Getting bored of Engineering? Are you crazy?"

"Or get kicked out of Engineering. I remember the teacher wasn't so happy when you made that enchanted parachute that blew up when you tried to open it."

I nibbled boredly on a tomato as Zen sat there with his head buried in a book. The aimless chatter from around me just sounded like one big stream of sludge going in one ear and out the other. Clear blue light reflected off the snowcapped mountains and poured through the windows. Some were even open. For ease of access I guessed by the scene earlier.

Speaking of, where had that guy gone?

Akio stole a tomato from Jay's plate without asking and stood up. "I gotta go, we have a meeting after breakfast and I don't want to be late."

Jay quickly ate the rest of the tomatoes before Akio could steal them from him. "You're always late. It's a weekend. What are you going to do afterwards?"

"I dunno, work on my project?"

"Will it explode?"

"It already has. I had to rebuild the whole thing."

"Whatever." He dumped his plate in the wherever plates go and slid off the table.

(What will happen now? Should there be a murder?)

Zen brought himself back to the living world as he slid his book into his satchel and stood up. I carefully piled my silverware and untouched cup of vinegarette in my bowl and followed him, setting my bowl in the collection bin as we passed.

I re-wrapped my scarf around my neck and turned to Zen, walking backwards infront of him.

"I guess I'll be off to Music huh?" I said smiling at him a little. He gave me a little smile back.

"Your lucky I don't have that class with you! I'd practically step on you." he said lightly. I pretended to be brushing dust of my shoulder

"Maybe I'm not a good singer but I think I'd be the one stepping on you at the Archery range!"

"Don't you have any electives?" asked Akio.

"Well, I've got orchestra next, then Latin in the afternoon, but that's about it," replied Jay, miming playing a string instrument.

"Violin?"

"First. I'm section leader for my class, Phoenix is concertmaster. "

"I don't know what any of that means."

"Good." Jay headed over to the window and jumped out again, leaving Akio to head to the robotics meeting.

[Uhhhhh is Orchestra and Music the same??? As I've stated before I've been homeschooled since 4th grade and have no idea how classes work in anything after elementary xD And its okay, i think mine are a little short too]

I watched Zen disappear around the corner towards whichever class he had first, his hooves muted by the carpet. Then he was gone.

I burrowed into my scarf andturned the corner to the South wing, someone passed through my wings as I slithered against the wall. That was uncomfortable at first but I'd gotten used to it slowly, I hardly even noticed it now. I probably looked like a shifty teenage drug dealer, doing my best to be one with the wall.

Some blue eyed dumb blonde passed me, leaving the stink of too much perfume in the air and I almost sneezed. Even a rose can stink if you touch it enough.

Except mine hasnt done anything evil yet....xD And if I play Reuvan playing an instrument....well I've only played the Ukulele and Synthesizer irl uhhh I do love Cello music thooo Ugh. Band Doesn't seem like his scene, what instruments are found in Orchestra?]

I eased my way through the door into Orchestra. I had no clue why the board decided to replace my Spells class with this. I was sure I could barely play an instrument (not that I had ever tried) and they were just setting me up for embarrassment.

Thankfully it looked like I was somewhat early because there were only a few people milling around, chatting softly and making sure their instruments were in tune.

I spotted the (orchestrat? orchestrator?) instructor talking animatedly with a student and decided to go confess that I'd never played an instrument before.

(Yea, she's planning to murder people.)

Jay sat down at the piano and began playing La Campanella. (One of the hardest piano songs :D)

Wow, there was another Avian. Lovely. He had already tuned his violin, and people were just messing around, so he decided to join in messing around. Ew. When was the last time this piano had been tuned?

(I believe the term is conductor.)

The instructor was a fairly large guy, wide shoulders and long legs, I briefly wondered how old he was. I patiently waited for the other student to leave, and when they did, quickly caught the instructors attention before he could hunt down another student to harass.

"Excuse me?" I said placing myself between him and whichever student he was gunning for next. Somebody started playing the Piano.

"Yes?" He said sunnily, and wow his teeth were really white... "What can I help you with?"

"Yeah, my schedule was just changed and uhh they put me here." I said "And?"

"And I can't play an instrument, I couldn't name half this stuff. I really don't know why they put me here and it must be an inconvenience to you to but if I could just sit out--" He cut me off.

"Oh nonsense! We'd love to have you! Class is going to start soon however, so we must go through the instruments quickly!" his smile was blinding "Wait wait what?"

"Well I'll let you go through our available instruments, you can take whichever one you fancy and bring it to your room. I'll provide you with some music sheets to go with and you can learn! Then you can participate with the rest of the class!"

"But wait I don't--" "No 'buts!'"
