"He does it a lot. IT's fine, he's half phoenix." Kari says. "He'll revive anyways."

Reuvan peaked up at the mention of phoenixes. He had never met one (they were rare), but the thought brought of memories of his mother telling stories. Fuzzy scenes full of daylight and laughter, her gentle hands rocking him on her lap and knee jostling him every now and then as she told an elaborate tale about his great uncle. His great uncle was a big, big, phoenix. She said his wingspan triumphed an eagles with a crinkle in her eye. He was a wanderer, a man with a gruff personality but a heart as big as the sky was vast. But as all wandering souls, he left this world as quick as he came, leaving behind little but scorch marks.
Reuvan didn't really know if his family was descended from phoenixes, it was certainly hard to believe, but he cherished any memory he had of his mother.
Although sometimes, when Reuvan was bored in his travels, he'd lay down and just think about his mysterious great uncle. He guessed that they both became wanderers, despite being so different.
Speaking of wandering--
Reuvan focused on the task at hand.
"Are there any towns nearby? I've been looking for one."

Kari shrugged. "I honostly dont k now. I usually stay in the woods. On the other hand, " she nudged Alex, "he probably does. Guy goes around all the time."
The guys feathers were retracting and he was looking much more human now.

Reuvan looked on with a little envy, crowds were hard to manage with wings, among other things, like sitting without having it be uncomfortable.
He shrugged off the little pang as quick as it came. Why bother being envious? Nothing he could do about it afterall.
Well he'd just have to wait for the guy to wake up.... or he could keep flying. Not for the first time, Reuvan has wished his brother could be more specific with his directions. Reuvan was practically (read: literally) flying blind at this point, he only had a cardinal direction to rely on.
[Me: *goes back to read the previous posts for info* Reuvan: I haven't traveled before Me:....I...1: I don't know why I wrote that, your the most wandering character I have, and 2: I take the back your a traveler now xD]
--Meanwhile in some bushes nearby--
Lyeza pouted at her brother, who was silently trying to convey to her that eavesdropping on random peoples conversations, then just appearing and suddenly talking to them about something they thought was private, was a very, very bad idea.
.
.
.
Lyeza thought he was giving her the go-ahead.
She excitedly bounded out into the clearing like a pup on a squirrel, her brother letting out a loud bark in surprise from the bushes she'd just left. But unlike Lyeza he just shrunk farther into the shrubs, still trying to hide his presence.
New people! Awww she loved new peopleeeeee--
The pack never let her go into the city unless it was urgent, and even then she wasn't aloud to talk to people!
[Lyeza and Luka are twins, Lyeza is a weredog and Luka is a werewolf (don't ask me how that works okay xD Lyeza is just more excitable and dog like, and Luka is definitely more silent and prowl-y)

Kari yelped in surprise, stumbling back. "What in Soleli?!" She almost immediately tripped over her tail.

Lyeza caught the fox-girl with her fast reflexes, propping her up with arms that started to look increasingly more human. The soft brown fur retreated from her temples quickly, her wild mane becoming a more manageable ponytail.
She stepped back from the fox-girl once she knew she was stable, flexing her own toes into the lush grass experimentally. She giggled happily at the simple movement.
The black haired avian behind her chirped in dismay at the weredog, his pretty little wings shuffling anxiously, and little gray feathers dotting his hairline at the appearance of a natural predator.
Luka didn't make the situation any better by cautiously but confidently emerging from the bushes, all of his long fur melting into a very long, very loose ponytail that draped across his back. He scowled at everyone in the clearing, radiating a dangerous scent that promised hurt to anyone who moved without his permission.
A picture-perfect Beta.
The pretty little birdy only got more worked up, his posture tense and ready to fly away at a moments notice. Luka ignored both the birdy and the fox-girl, instead grabbing Lyeza's arm and tugging her gently. She slipped out of his grasp stubbornly and he narrowed his eyes at her. They lapsed into another silent argument.

Kari cleared her throat. "Um, who are you guys? N offencse but this is one of the few times I've sen your folk around without a giant pack surrounding...."
"Then youre very unobservant." Alex muttered from the groun,d, where he was half awake and finding it relaxing to relax on the grass.
Kari huffed. "Says the person who ran into someone while flying with his eysclosed...again."

Lyeza gasped, like she hadn't noticed the werephoenix on the ground after all this time.
.
.
.
Yeah, you know what, she probably hadn't.
"Alex!" She yapped excitedly, voice cracking form pitch, and disuse. Luka perked up, finally placing that familiar scent, the unnatural smell of fire.
"What are you doing around here?" Lyeza questioned innocently.

Alex groaned.
"Hes been flying into people. Again." Kari sighed. "What else?"
"Hey, look, I dont fly into people all the time!"
"You flew into the Huelf Twins twice yesterday, flew into a tree this mornin, flew into Amalies house last week-"
"I didnt slam into her windows, I was being efficient and knocking immediately!"

Reuvan only stared.
Reuvan wasn't the worst flier, but he certainly wasn't the best, and he hadn't ran into anything since he was 11. Alex didn't count. Alex ran into him, not the other way around.
The werewolf girl seemed to maul over this for a second before perking right back up. "Oh! Speakin' of runnin' intah' people." She grinned. "Me an' Luka were actually lookin' for a new scent."
Luka pitched in, seeming much more relaxed now that he recognized someone. "There's been a new wolf around, they smell like earth and spice." He said wrinkling his nose. "--And death and blood."
