Falling snow in the night sky

I based mine off of my hotel's lobby theme every Christmas. They all decorate it with gold and silver, and off course a little bit of green and red. So whenever I think of Christmas I think of the lobby, because it is so beautiful.

I was outside letting the dog do his business this morning, and it was flurrying a little and there was already some muddy snow on the ground. Well, last night the dog got into the food dye we were using to make blue icing. And when he finished his business there was muddy snow, and blue snow. I thought that was hilarious, so why not base a pet off it? xD

I based this guy off of winter itself. His wings are both the ice crystals you see spreading across glass in the winter, and the icicles hanging off of trees, roofs, and so forth. The white represents snow. In particular, the beauty of fresh fallen snow that is unmarred by footprints. The dark blue represents a cold winter's night. The cyan represents the brilliant blue sky on a sunny but bitterly cold winter morning. The black represents the deadly, invisible black ice that lies in wait for the unwary. And the frost runes represent the cracks appearing in the surface of a frozen lake as winter finally begins to fade into spring.

As a side note, the majestic regalia represents Christmas. Or one aspect of it at least - the Three Wise Kings. I was listening to that Christmas song as I came up with my griff. XD

I made this one look like a christmas tree. So the leopard spots are popcorn, the frost runes are the silvery blue tinsel, and the horse tail is the candy canes. I apologize if the picture isn't working right, just in case it doesn't work.

Based on ice cracking as winter ends.
