Honestly I was shocked when I started playing and realized how cheap pets could go for. I think there should be limits to breeding any species because it makes me sad that so many of them can be sold for 1g. No pets seem to really have value and i'd like to help change that.
Even if that means I won't be able to afford the pretty pets in the future ;~;

I should have told you guys ( or if you didn't know) but I release my own bred fabled pets.
I released 3 Ny'Vene and 2 Nephini.

I released 1 neph, but that's it really I dont really stumble into much fabled pets. And when I do I end up catching it for myself * hides in guilt *

http://www.sylestia.com/forums/?thread=10270 I just started an operation Puffadore to try and bring the value back up on Puffadores. I have a lot of stable space because I do so much breeding and I do tend to release more pets rather than setting them for 1g.

Kath: I saw that! Don't send me the number of puffs released. Because I feel that yours is a separate project. k? plus I feel it would confuse a lot of people as well.

Soldiers: Oh yeah, sometime in the next month or two I'll be doing a service like this one with my Peppermint Twist Nephini, Miracle. I'm gonna create a mate similar to her and distribute her children to users who didn't get a wheel pet. Once I can get the thread together perhaps I'll do a preorder thing. First (4 maybe?) people will get their order free. I'm gonna see if I can get a hold of a Peppermint male so I can create a mock female so orders can go a little faster.
What do you guys think? Sure it's gonna add more nephs into the game but it'll be for a good cause right? Please give me feedback?

Don't hide in guilt! I don't get that many fables either! Any project fables I do now I just release the rejects unless someone asks about one of them.

I think that's a great idea! Especially since those festival wheel pets were so rare. Lord knows I really wanted one of those Ny'Venes... And if you do find a way to get a male peppermint twist Nephini that would help speed up the process for sure.

I completely agree with your cause and am working on lowering my pet number as we speak. I have NEVER sold an animal in game though I have participated in auctions, but like many users here I admit I do get attached. I'm trying to breed the bunches of ryori I have into multi vis/carry, and then I plan on releasing the parents. Even though I can't be a soldier I find myself really dumbfounded with what I'm seeing sometimes. Mass breeders sell HUNDREDS of ryori babies for instance, for 100g each. Multi vis and carry. Me and a friend have started buying the too-cheap pets and releasing them immediately. Is that wrong? I'm not sure how to help prevent the depreciation of sylestia's wonderful creatures. I've seen the advice you've given to other users, so I will try to follow that. This forum chat has been eye opening, thank you Dragondawn!

Edit: I recently made a forum post looking for WF griffi. Is is bad to purchase pets if they are purchased at a higher / more correct (?) value? I pay hundreds of diamonds for the WF griffi I have bought in the past.

I have released 20 puffadores, 20 nyvenes, 4 ryori, and 10 Lighira. Hope this helps

I kind of agree with this cause, usually I don't breed my pets unless I need a particular result. Some of my ryori are kind of useless but I like their colours so I keep them in my stables, is this a bad thing? Also I usually release pets I don't like, because there's no need in keeping them, regardless if they're fabled or not.
