A book I never recommend: Any Goosebumps books. I hate a good majority of them, they aren't very scary.
Best book I've seen in writing? Can't decide, but the best fanfic I've read is Blue Skies.

Horror is hard to do in writing. It's one thing to show it on a screen, but it's another altogether to make your reader feel the same with words. Props especially to Stephen King, who's really good at that x)

A book I'd never recommend:
Unnaturals. It was boring, hard to follow, and the plot made no sense.
The best thing I've seen done in writing:
Any type of more abstract storytelling, especially in the book "The Honest Truth"

A book you'd never recommend! Why?
I actually can't remember what this book was called because it practically bored me to tears (not that it was bad, it just wasn't my taste I guess).
The best thing you've seen done in writing?
Campfire by Shawn Sarles. The phrasing made it really easy to follow and the wording literally created a perfect picture of the events in my mind. I could practically see everything as it was playing out, sadly I can't say that about all other books. But I'd be happy to reccommend this one to any horror/thriller fans.

Question of the bi-monthly: what do you do when you feel your writing has stagnated?
Personally, I like to work on other things or go for walks.
Also, I wanted to ask those who are interested in critique or need something to read for advice. I feel a lot of my relationships portrayed in my writing are unrealistic and/or rushed. Does anyone have tips on how to remedy this? I've been over my work a million times and some parts just feel so stilted and unnatural. I'm mainly concerned about the relationship between Light and Xerxes. It feels so awkward at some points xD
Here's the link to the WIP if you'd like to read. It's 47k words atm. Lmk if the link doesn't work! Suggestions are welcome. There are mentions of some potentially triggering topics - figured I'd put a warning here.
