Remember to Die!
Hello hello everyone, you may now throw pancakes at Vanillalotus... Welcome :P

So today, uh... stuff happened.
My friend (talking to another person): *unintelligible* Memento vivere...
Me: Is that Latin? Remember... uh... life? I'm sorry, I'm taking foreign language next year
Her: Remember to live. It's a saying. There's also memento mori.
Me: Remember... death? Like, remembering the dead or something?
Her: Nah, more like remember to die.
Me: Ooh! *goes over to other friend* Remember to die!
Him: Oh. Uh, thanks for reminding me.
During passing period, I went over to people I knew, said "Remember to die!" and walked away.
Maturity level 100%
Also, yes, I know what it actually means xD

Today I learned that nonchalant is a foreign term
My life is a lie

Also, I've been pronouncing it wrong
But then, I pronounce a lot of things differently because my parents have foreign accents

Regional Science Bowl is in 11 days.
Wish me luck.
I beat an amazingly smart person who got accepted into one of the best colleges in the state at a math question
His words: "I'm going to go live out the rest of my days in solitude in a remote monastery in Mongolia because my sibling beat me at a math question"
...
I'm certain I broke the laws of physics by doing that
Also, I've apparently been pronouncing 'monastery' wrong

I'm also trying to write something else xD
Let us see how far I get

I had to fill out my electives for highschool and I'm signing up for honors spanish even though I'll probably forget it all by the time I get to highschool.

I pronounce everything wrong because I'd rather be corrected everytime than actually learn how to say words. Technically pronunciation isnt important as long as I know what I'm saying...

Also, I had a math quiz today which I uh... definently failed. Like so badly. I'm actually scared to see how much my grade is going to drop by.

I had my Spanish Midterm today. First test I ever took where I was worried about time, and this is coming from a person that took 2 ACT tests... Like, I don't think I got anything lower than a B, but still I still feel kinda :/ about it. Will Spanish even help me at all in a marine biology career?

Until like last year when I was picking my classes, I thought Beginning Comp was Beginning Computer Science
I was like, "Yay! Something I'm actually good at!"
Nope, it's a boring class that teaches you the parts of a sentence
I was wondering why it was mandatory in freshman year...

Beginning Comp? Yeah, writing classes. Important yet tedious skill, though I've never heard of that writing course specifically...

Friend: "Oh, I'm taking Beginning Comp."
Me: "Ooh, comp sci?" *whips out Python programs*
Friend: "No, composition. A stupid writing class."
Me: "Ooh, writing?" *whips out half-finished stories*
Friend:

Heh that was a bit of an exaggeration
But
Nope

Pff heh heh!
Yeah, writing in and of itself can rather fun (I'm actually a sucker for resarch reports :3), but diagraming sentances? Nooo thank you.

That said we need better computer science courses in schools.

Heh, all I can write is some weird mix of fantasy and science fiction
I will need saving for college applications, all I can write is fiction xD
You're right, I hear the comp sci teacher at my school is terrible. I'm not even sure I want to take it anymore.

I mean I'm down for a well-written novel any day and I read a bunch of fantasy and sci-fi stuff so...

I know there are some good summer camps and online courses for computer sciences. I'd actually look and see if there are any colleges nearby offering them.
