Oof I don't really like writing months or any other 'write as much as you can etc' because I'm a big believer in quality over quantity. I also haven't done like any writing this past week bc college is hard and I am tired.
(Not because I take years to finish something. What gave you that idea? x) )

I remember you saying something similar... last November? Because of NaNo, I think? So I kinda expected you to hate the idea of x month, in which x is an art like writing or drawing. (Not trying to sound mean.)
It takes me forever to finish ideas because School, so mood.

Yeah lol. Especially when I see people be like 'it causes so much stress and I hate writing etc etc but I gotta participate in -insert monthly thing here-!' it makes me sad to hear that because you're supposed to enjoy it! Like don't push it! Enjoy your writing/art, take your time, don't try to stress yourself out of creativity! xD
I feel like it kind of plays into that whole hustle culture thing where if you have a hobby you must profit from it or work yourself dry on it. Like oh, you write? Get 50k words a month done. Or you draw? Make a 50-page comic a month. Like unless it's your job, take your time to enjoy and improve yourself! Create for the hell of it, not for some internet challenge or title.
I feel strongly about these things. I keep repeating myself but please don't stress yourself out about meeting monthly wordcounts or whatever. Just have fun! :D

I'm the opposite. I don't get super stressed writing for a month, writing from a prompt daily. But I understand where you are coming from. That opinion is valid.

Heeeeeello! Can't believe there's been a writer's club this whole time and I just found out
Subgenres:
I am fairly good at angst, even if I don't write it often. On multiple occasions I have gotten readers to go "AAAAAA" or "DEATH WOULD BE BETTER THAN THIS" and I count that as a successful hit to the feels

Note: If you would like me to edit something in detail, from plot to character design to world creation to even the nittier grittier parts like grammar or proper sentence structure, feel free to PM me!
Also, I have two ways of editing: regular, where I point out things and do as one would expect, and intense, where I will not sugarcoat and not hold back. If something is bad, I will tell you it is bad. I will not be rude by any means, but I will say "this part doesn't work, cut it out or change it" rather than "i'm not sure this is the best way to convey this, you might want to consider changing it, though if you want to keep it that's fine".
All feedback I give will be in my regular way of editing unless I am asked otherwise!
Other facts you want to be known about you or your writing
I have been writing for a long time (many years) so I will say I am experienced at it. I may not be the best and there is definitely room to improve, but I think I can almost reach that point where my writing can be considered as 'good'.
Building worlds is my thing. I can spend hours coming up with cultures, traditions, regional dress, etc, and even language systems. Most of all, I specialise in magic systems and technology - I will figure out the tiny details and how things slot together, the limitations and benefits. This means I tend to lean toward hard magic/tech systems although occasionally I'll work in a little bit of softness. For my more casual projects, I might use a simple soft system.
In characters I believe I lack in the personality department (my characters tend to be variations of a few 'prototypes') though they will have extensive backstories. My head is always brimming with stories so if I can't fit it in the main plot, to backstory it goes!
If anyone needs help or wants to talk about writing in any way, I'm always open ^-^
Also I do art so if anyone wants their characters drawn......... :eyes:

Wow, that was fast! Even if it's inactive, it's great to be part of a community of creators ^-^ We could try to kick up some activity by hosting events like an exquisite corpse story where everyone contributes a hundred words or something, or something else fun. I've got gold we can use for prizes if we need it.
(Also can I be added to the criticism/showoff pinglist?)

Lol, I have a tab open while I scream incoherently at my character form in the background x'D
Ooh that sounds fun!
(It seems like a combination of a general lack of activity on the members' part, and me often too busy/tired/preoccupied other things to try something. So right now it's basically just the occasional member giving a prompt or something lol)
