Low effort post yeehaw
What's your favorite genre to read, and what's your favorite to write? And why, of course.
For me, I like to read thrillers and mystery. I enjoy not being able to guess what comes next, as I ended up doing with many fantasy novels. After reading fantasy for a decade, it becomes a bit repetitive. :p That and I got sick of exclusively straight romance.
Though my favorite to write is fantasy. I enjoy writing whatever I want and making up explanations for whatever lol. Lore is my friend. Also non-romance-driven plots or LGBTQ+ characters? Icing on the cake. Too bad popular writers are cowards xD
I don't think I've bothered y'all since I started college. It's busy. Life sucks. :/

I like adventure or found family. Bonus points for angst and accuracy.

I absolutely LOVE the really dramatic stuff! I THRIVE off of it. I don't know when the last time I actually messaged on this thread before was, but my former dumb self always said sci-fi fantasy.. but no, realistic drama gives me purpose. The angstier the better, my target audience? Mentally ill quee.r kids like myself. 10 year-old me would IMPLODE at the sight of it.. mostly because I didn't know it existed until later butliek yagottadowhatyagottadoykyk.

I love reading sci-fi, especially apocalypse-style ones. The idea of being around *after* the world ends is incredibly intriguing to me, and no matter how many books I've read about it, it never seems to get old.
As for writing, I also enjoy fantasy. I love, more than anything, worldbuilding. The idea of having my own world to create and destroy as I like is probably way more appealing than it should be. Also, fantasy characters are more fun to design, because there are fewer limits. As far as fantasy characters go, I find myself enjoying making gods, mythical beings, and fantasy monsters, especially ones with human feelings.

Can I be removed from the pinglists here? I've been pretty inactive and fallen out of writing lately, so I'd rather not see any pings about writing rn.
