Well for your Glowworm i'd include some yellow and vary the colors a tad more. Currently your design is very blue driven but you can get some more glowy effects by varying the colors more. Also make sure to put colors in all the slots and to not repeat as much! I made a complete rework of your design which you can use for reference!

Your other design looks great but I could suggest perhaps making the white a very very pale blue to help the whole design flow better
