Yo sometimes I get confused just reading sci-fi, I have no idea how I'd even start writing it
I'd probably just be like "by the way, they're in space because of ScienceTM" and then just never mention it again lmao

Same for dystopian, because society and government-y stuff is such a big aspect of it and I have no idea what to do with that, even though it's cool x'D

But hey oh my gosh sci-fi fantasy blends are amazing, I've read one or two things in that genre (genres?) and they were really cool :D

Also YES I really love interconnected story thingies, where each part is technically a whole separate story but at the same time, they're all part of the same universe/interact a bit (if that's what you're doing)

It would appear we have 6 members at the moment, all in various states of inactivity xD

(By the way, you 6 are currently the only ones on the pinglist, since I just assumed everyone who hasn't responded as interested is no longer interested in staying a member. Does anyone think I should ping everyone again asking explicitly if they would like to remain on the list this time, or is this a safe enough assumption?)

~

Anyways, a question, because why not! What's the most stupid/useless/stupidly amazing thing you've ever written (or read, I suppose), whether that be an idea, line, character, etc.?

Like, tell me this isn't the most informative, helpful, plot-important exchange you've ever seen:
"What happens if we get caught?"
"We get arrested."
"And what happens if we get arrested?"
"We go to prison."
(Tbh, most of my dialogue is this stupid)

I also once went on a tangent about how a character was very specifically not counted a god for very significant reasons
And then two seconds later I referred to said character as a god
I also could not think of a non-awkward way to refer to him instead in the moment so I just added a comment there just saying "NOT A GOD!!" to get back to later
But then I never fixed it before getting bored of the thing I was writing so he's still got that identity crisis going for him to this day

I also have this gem
"*something something* the demons below the ledge, the sickly green lamplight doing little to illuminate their demonic features."
Smh, demons and their demonic features amirite

Oh and in elementary school or so, I was writing this scene where some very important, menacing figure was approaching the group of protagonists (you're absolutely better off with no context other than that) and I had no idea how to continue
So I just stalled for like 5 lines. All of which were more or less repeats of:
"This was very, very bad. The figure continued approaching. Everyone looked at each other. No, this was not good."

*shrugs in has-been-pinging-the-entire-mentor-group-with-no-regards-to-inactivity*

the dumbest thing i wrote was a....very quesitonable fever dream oneshot that was inspired by me being utterly annoyed at the local seagulls. The most stupid character i wrote is actually my oc Al, who is literally named for my elementary school bestie's brother who we considered "the cool person". Yeah my standards werent very high then lol
