Hi all, our club carnival should be starting sometime next week or as early as this Sunday!

Please PM me if you are planning any kind of event, give away or sale. The only requirement is that within your thread you must link back to our club (this thread)! We currently have 5 games, 1 sale and 1 donor. See this post for information on the carnival.

For those who are involved...
I will be pinging you the directory thread link so you can post or PM me your threads.

If you have suggestions for how I should set up and run the main carnival thread send me a PM or ping me here. For now I am planning a thread that acts as a directory to everyone's games/events and also as a sort of promotion. This thread will be placed in unofficial games/contests.

You can also suggest some games for me to host as long as someone else is not hosting something similar already.

This event should be exactly what the name of it suggests - a carnival. When the directory thread is out please promote the event through general chat and to your friends. After a festival is a great time to give things to those who went broke. ;P

As I'm sure you may know, I've recently changed my name to GhostlyFours, and as for the game I will be hosting, it is more of a ring toss than Pick-a-Door... I was also thinking about a spin-the-wheel game... Not sure if you want to limit us to a certain amount of games, as to not be too confusing... But yea...

You'll have to re-explain the ring toss then because from what I gathered it was basically a pick-a-door conceptually.

As for hosting multiple games you should go over the plan for your thread with me if the games are all together. Sometimes that gets confusing, I've seen some poorly organized game threads, which end up getting no attention because of the confusion. You can either make 1 thread per game or group them into one game spot for yourself.. just maybe go over the thread layout/plans with me so we can maximize how many people will pay attention. If you don't want my advice either that's fine but I do have a lot of (successful) experience with that. :)

There's no limit on how many games you can host. I myself will be hosting a wide variety. Please make sure you have enough prizes to give out though. Please avoid prizes such as pets with only carries, non-themed that are not dyed/designed or under 5K first place prizes... no one is really interested in those.

I've already brought this one up, and I was thinking the prizes could range from theme pets to items depending on the difficulty.

we could do a guess the ny'vene trait where players have to guess the correct trail without cheating. for example the thing starts off with a description like,
I go down from the start of the snout to the tip of the tail and my letters are AA.

we wait a certain amount of time then put the answer and who guessed right.

If you want, I could help you with it, but I would say make it harder and do a gene and a mutation at the same time on the same round, you get what I mean?
Example: (Using a Gene and a mutation most widely known)

I would say, have a ping me rule, so if someone doesn't ping you then their entry doesn't count, you know what I mean?
Anyways, for the Ny'Vene above, obviously its Diamond Back and Demonic Essence, so its not as hard, but...

This one has 2 Genes and 2 Muts, so whoever gets this, would get a better prize than the 1 Gene and 1 Mut from above... You understand? So, I would say have 6 rounds, each round adding a gene or a mut and making the prize better than the last...

Though this is only a suggestion, you don't have to feel obligated to do it...
