They look really good!

I adore the accessories, it definitely sets them apart from the other pets.

I think my only 'criticism', is that I think the ears should be a bit more fae-like.

They look so fierce! I guess catching my new girl Raven on the last night of the festival was a sign! Can't wait to see her, her mate Chill, and my other two Morkko (Ursula and Ursio) once this revemp is complete!

Chiming in along with everyone else.

This is a gigantic improvement over the current Morkko.

I really like the fact that they are not bears. Zolnixies aren't foxes, Luporas aren't wolves, etc. The faces and ears add a lupine quality, while the high shoulders remind me of a smilodon's physique. Here is a link to a very nice artist's concept of a smilodon: http://videnskab.dk/sites/all/files/smilodon-populator-gallop.jpg So the Morkko has elements of the bear, the cat, and the wolf, which is excellent.

I nominate the adult female's face and expression for "Single most awesome redraw on Sylestia evah!" It's so, "Maybe you are friendly, and we will be friends, or maybe I will eat your face. Your call."

My greatest concern is the male's open mouth. If only he had an expression more like the female's, with the mouth mostly closed and an attitude that expresses more personality. Currently his expression is that of attack, period. Not a lot of personality there.

Personally, I think slightly longer tails would be neat. Prehistoric bears did have longer tails (and those high shoulders).

I agree with Phierlon that "The adult male looks to be tilted on an angle. Might be good to rotate him to the right a bit so he's properly situated. I also think that his front left paw on the ground could be extended out a little more; if you're considering the placement of his shoulder, the paw is just a little too close to his chest. His left hind leg also seems to have a bone structure that is a little off in regards to where his knee joint should be."

Fangs on adult female and juvenile male could be a tad closer to the front of the mouth. Fangs are for slashing and for holding. Look at the adult female's. She can't slash with them, and by the point that her fangs can penetrate the enemy/prey, it's already well inside her mouth.

The claws on the adults definitely seem 'way exaggerated. Also, I don't understand what's going on with the pads of the feet. These adult Morkkoes are standing on some surface. So why can we see the pads of the feet they are standing on? The pads are cushions; they ought to be flattened against the ground. The baby male's front right foot shows how a weight-bearing foot of this type should look.

Color me "eagerly awaiting developments."

I really like the new lineart! Although that little curl on the ear really irks me. I'd like to see the Morkkos with longer ears instead (or maybe just a mutation that does that!) and they have earrings adoring said ear.

The feet/legs of the designs look like they could use a bit of work. I don't particularly like how the legs curve unnaturally into the paws on the male morkko. Other than that, I think the designs are quite swell (and a massive improvement over the current designs)! Nice work! =]

I like them very much :) the only caveat I have is the baby girls mouth, it looks like if she closed it right now, her lower lip would be halfway with her top lip (her left side) like sticking out sideways a little (if that makes sense?)

Other than that, 2 thumbs up :) I love how the paws are shaped alot like grizzly bears and rocking their rolls :)

I couldn't agree more! I think longer tail's is a good idea. Not to long, but kind of like a bobcat's? And I can also see the male is tilted a bit. It is not drastic, but it would look better if it were rotated a little :)
My own advice would be to tone down the adult male's forehead. The marks going horizontal may look better and more bear-like going up and down. Morkkos are not "bears," but they take after them a lot. I think it would look more natural to have something like this
(all credit to original author, I did not draw this picture)
I just want to point out the line of fur on the forehead. It shows the broad skull, but is not to defined like a canine. I think it would look well because we already have the furrowed brow of the roar, and we have a lot of detail going on in the male's face. This would kind of balance it out.

I do love them, but maybe the female could be less aggressive looking and take on a graceful more blessed look. Not saying that they shouldn't look aggressive at all, I'm just saying maybe they could look a little more calm and less aggressive. For some reason the females look like they are waiting to hurt something, maybe its the grin, and how the brows are scrunched down ( does that even make sense? ) and it looks like its hairs are on end. The female morkkos before looked a little more girly to me. I guess for the females I kind of think something in between would look good. I do like the males though, i think they looked kinda hesitant before.

I love the new designs, and they both look so fierce, which I love because they are a bear species. I don't think the female looks too fierce at all, I think she's really just right. My critters fight and so its right that they should look really strong. I think that's what I sort of dislike about the existing design, the female looks a bit too soft and gentle for a bear.

So glad my first epic catch was a 2 vis Morkko for the fest, he will look stunning later.
