Snow and pine trees--and fond memories of my winters at college!

Mine is inspired by snow and ice on the bare trees. I made the tree part a little warmer than the stark trees in winter to give it a hint of warmth and color.

Inspired by the Himalayan mountains, which often experience winter temperatures all year.

Light Snowfall

Inspiration was from the light snowfall we usually get where I live. It's always a small little coating.

Winter Holly
I was out visiting some relatives recently, and they had a (wild/weed) Holly bush growing on their property. It reminded me that even if it's not winter here, I am still connected to those who are in the winter season through this plant, a plant that flowers at the same time everywhere, a plant that seems to be symbolic for a white winter... Even if that's only true in the Northern hemisphere ^-^;

And, I guess that is what inspired me...

This is my Midnight Thunderstorm griffi, inspired by the occasional rainfall you get during the winter.

Due to getting nothing but rain all winter so far (okay, we had a few flurries, but nothing stuck), I was having trouble coming up with something. Then I started writing one of my fanfictions and Mt. Roneal (a very snowy area) came up.

Thus was this griffi born. The picture obviously isn't of Mt. Roneal, but I figured it was good enough to get the point across.





Galaxy, Snowflake Runes, Whirling Snow... The darker wings/tail are more from the Vorpal Blade, an ice-themed sword that can be found at Mt. Roneal... Also for the frozen lake I slide across to get it. Her dark gray/green beak is for rocks jutting out of the snow, white should be obvious... I think she came out well, all things considered.

This mysterious Griffi feeds off of the guilt and bad memories plaguing any near by Sylesti. When to close one would experience hallucinations of there past and would collapse into a deep coma so the Sylesti are forced to fight what ever inner demons they carry. In order to break free from there deep slumber they must let go and move on from what ever bad is haunting them. Wile unconscious this Griffi feeds off of the negative waves until its prey is completely free from guilt. Before the Sylesti wake up the mysterious Griffi vanishes swiftly into the cold winters night this Griffi has only been seen during winter or in harsh cold environments.

The inspiration i felt was a ghostly chill so i went with this freezing specter look.
