I don't really mind the gamble. I mean, assuming it's like all the other events there are probably going to be other ways to obtain those items as well, whether it's through bosses, games, or those kinds of things. They'll just require more effort than paying $5, hence the gamble.

Yep, that's correct.

I think the problem with the box is the philters. It doesn't matter if you get 1, 6, or even 12 of them, they are just as worthless. So instead of it being a lesser prize, it feels like you are getting nothing. Zilch. Zero. If you remove the chance of getting philters, or replace it with something slightly more decent, I think everyone would be happier.

Yeah, it's a guarantee of one avatar item (either epic or legendary). So you get two rewards from each basket, one avatar item and one other item

     If I see a placeholder while exploring, do I have to defeat it before a named one can appear on it's place?

The Lesser Philters have been removed as a reward.

So now, you will receive 1 Summer Festival Avatar Item and either an Enhanced Lighira Essence, 2 Lesser Genetic Mutators, or 3 Lesser Pet Dyes.

So, to emphasize:

Reward #1: One random Summer Festival Avatar Item
Reward #2: One Enhanced Lighira Essence, OR 2 Lesser Genetic Mutators, OR 3 Lesser Pet Dyes

Each Basket will award Reward #1 and Reward #2.

Yes, the placeholder must be defeated to force the spawn of a new enemy in that coordinate.

I'm having problems with the new exploration battle. I was in a battle with a placeholder and the page froze as I was landing the final blows. I had to reload the page, but when I did I was stuck in a battle with no enemy and the only way out being to run away...

That was probably due to me constantly updating files. If a required file is being updated when you try to access it, it will return a fatal error and break the code.

I will remove a battle loss from your record.
