Name:Aersllynia (Pronouced air-sul-yee-nuh)
Inspiration / Resources: The Underland Chronicles by Suzanne Collins; background picture for Trollsblight Caverns; description of Lunemara in generator.
Backstory: Aersllynia was born into a world of darkness. She dwelled in a huge system of caves and caverns, many miles in all directions; a maze. Deep, deep underground, she never learned to depend on her eyes to see what was around her, but relied on her sensitive antenna hearing. She lived in a community with the other sightless creatures there, and never knew where she came from or what kind of creature she was (neither did she know what her companions were). Curiosity eventually led her to the desire to leave, and explore; to find out what other worlds there were beside her own. Fiercely loyal to the community she was a part of, she persuaded her unseen companions to leave with her. They traveled through many unseen, dull caverns, for a long, long time. Long story short, on her travels in the caves she learned to see using echolocation, and her companions, which turned out to be bats, also master this skill. She was able to move much faster through the underground maze, and finally, she came out of a crevice into the Trollsblight caverns. Sight was exhilarating! She could see her friends, the rocks, and light! The light was coming from a glowing green plant growing on the stones and walls. Aersllynia was so awed by the glowing plants, she ate them so she would glow and be light herself. Her companions of the underground loved the cavern, with its muted dark glow, and decided to stay there. Aersllynia continued on her journey until she discovered the open air, sunny world of Sylestia. She loved all the different worlds and places contained under one, giant, never ending sky. She flew all over, looking for her own kind, and at last found them in Sweet Blossom Orchard. She joined one of the colonies there, and become another one of the swarm, always working with the others for the good of the whole. Aersllynia never found out who her parents were, and soon the memories of caves and darkness, echolocation and the companions she had known for all most all of her life, faded from her memory. She was a Lunemara, and working for the colony was the only life she had ever known, or at least, the only life that mattered.

Elune, Lady of the Forest
She wanders the forests in the dark of night, searching for the lost and the weary and offering safety and salvation for all. She guides them by the glowing light of her mystical gems, deeper and deeper through the forest and into her safe haven. Tamers and sylesti alike mingle around the enchanted palace, and a soothing mist fills the air. Elune bids her new guests to feast and sleep, so they can be fully rested for their return home in the morning.
But no one ever leaves The Lady's Court....
The soothing mist is a powerful pheromone that turns Elune's victims into members of her Hive: obedient, loyal, hers until the end of their days.
Only those who refuse to follow her have a chance of making it through the forest alive, but they will never discover the truth; those who wander too close succumb to the pheromones, and become one with the Hive. Beyond her safe haven there are only rumors about her, whispers of the kind and beautiful Lunemara who offers aid to the lost in a forest that is known for its disappearances.
No one knows the dark and evil truth about her, the sinister, greedy witch who fills her forest with mindless servants...

The general inspiration for the colors is based on magical fantasy forests. I liked the idea of making a deceptive character who reflected the more tricksy of fairy-folk and figured that I'd tie in concepts relating more to insects, like the pheromones and the Hive Mind sense of control.

Inspiration:white and pink trumpet lily
Once there was an elderly man who lived alone in a small house by the ocean. The man had not always lived there alone, but it had still been quite some years since she had any company to speak of. The only companions the man had were the lilies that he and his late wife had planted together. Though not a plant lover himself, his wife had loved flowers more than most anything else in the world and so the man came to love the lilies as a memento of her.
One day while tending to the lilies, the man came across an egg lying cold and abandoned just outside the flower bed. Being a kindly soul and not one to say no to a little challenge, the man took the egg in and cared for it pouring all his love into looking after it.
When the egg hatched it turned out to be a little lunemara grub, the same colour as the lilies. He decided to name the little critter Lilium, and now the two of them spend their days tending to the flowers together, never lonely so long as they are together.

This is Musca (named after the constellation representing a fly). He was the oldest of his kind, helping the rest of the Sylesties create the trees and grass and sky. When he died, like the other first sylesties, his soul rose to the night sky and rested with the stars. Even now, he watches over and protects the world he made.
