Is it possible to level up without being in battles/missions? I've seen pets that are lv 60, but have not been in any battles or missions.

When you catch wild sylesties using traps, they stay at the level they were when you caught them, although none of their level up points are allocated (so you can spec them in whatever way you want)

Cool, thanks. ^_^

Also, what does a pink name in the Genetics box, around the middle, on a pet's page mean?
Example: This guy says Silent Night Vulnyx.

This is a "tagged pet" they are event pets : there is the full list of tagged pets here

For example, next event is the summer festival. I've never seen an event, but from what I gathered, there are special maps, and you can capture those tagged pets on this map, or seemingly doing other things (like a "egg hunt", or "garden" I've seen hanging around the forum, although I didn't understand everything =)

EDIT : Tagged pets means special colour code, but don't affect carried/ visibles genes I think

I took a quick look at your party pets. I think you might want to reassign some of their level up points, proficiency points and equipment.

There's a good guide on how to equip and assign points to party pets here: https://www.sylestia.com/forums/?thread=11101

In summary, always choose between intelligence OR strength. The two have no use together. So if you add points to strength, don't add any points to intelligence. Equipment should match the points you add. So if you add points to strength, find equipment that adds more points to strength instead of those that add more to intelligence, or spoilt points equally. Likewise, choose a proficiency tree that adds to the same stat you choose to increase. So choose a strength proficiency tree if you;re adding strength.

Avoid using relics that gives bonus to both physical and magical damage, as it would be a little redundant. Also, the higher the rarity, the better the equipment

I'll recommend reading the guide, and try to reassign points/equipment to your pets. If you have any difficulty with the guide, you can always ask me here or ask Flute in her guide. =)

Lacey, I recommend reading what Wonderfulb2uty said here. :)

And also, getting a third pet would probably be helpful. ^_^ Leveling a bit more might also help you defeat Cereth. When I was trying (and failing) to defeat him, I realized that my pets were too low-leveled, so I went over to the neighboring Caverns and leveled my pets about four to five more levels. You can just grind in the Caverns for a while until your pets are high enough, then go back and defeat Cereth. :)
