Hmm, is memorizing breeds of animals a nerd thing? I've been obsessed with animals all my life, but in the past I was obsessed specifically with breeds, especially dog breeds. I read many books just about dog breeds, including a book that attempted to list every dog breed in the world, including known extinct breeds. Something about classifications and lists satisfied me. So...

Have you ever heard of the Azawakh? How about the New Guinea Singing Dog? Or the Rhodesian Ridgeback, the Xoloitzcuintli, the Norwegian Lundehund, the Kooikerhondje, the Mudi, the Dandie Dinmont Terrier, the Hovawart, the Norbottenspets, the Silken Windhound? Or if you really want to get obscure...how about the Taigan, the Alopekis, the Stabyhoun, or the Chippiparai?

Also, it wasn't just dogs I memorized. Have you ever heard of these cat breeds:
The Nebelung, the Lykoi, the LaPerm, the Sokoke, or the Kurilian Bobtail?

I don't think many people can out-nerd me on dog breeds. There are probably plenty of general facts about dogs I still don't know, but breeds are what I'm nerdiest about.
