Most of the inns that deal in favours are down in the slightly less well off Elf districts. You'll probably just have to do some work in the kitchens to get a small room and a jug of clean water to wash yourself with.

Not that he minds. At least he has a lesser chance of running into someone he knows-surely no one who might know him would be in a dingy inn, right? (Besides, at least it's a bed. Not the cold hard ground, which is what he's been sleeping on for the last few days).
I've made proficiencies, which are boosted by your character's magic element. If the various boosts would have affected your decision when creating your character, tell me now and I will change your magic element.
Also tell me if the proficiency stages needed to do things are too harsh and I'll change them.

(I would like to change my proficency to air because it has one more adventage then earth. Sorry for not responding eariler but I was only on for a second.)

(No worries, don't feel like you have to reply instantly c:
I was just doing a double check because I thought I'd done the ping wrong)
You have chosen to go to the Valley. That means you need to go to the Northern territories. This should be about 5 days travel on foot, or you could trade for a one way Griffin ride, which would take you 1 day. A Griffin ride would also mean that you could find the remote valleys in the midst of the mountains, whereas if you travel on foot you will have to find a way to get past the mountains.

The closest tavern is aptly called 'The Favours Inn'. From the street you can hear loud music and raucous singing. Through the window, it appears that a great many people are here for a party. Still, disregarding the celebration, the inn looks clean and nice, and from the looks of it there are quite a few rooms upstair.

I chose to go on foot thinking, The journey is more important then the destination and who knows I might bump into a familiar along the way.

With that in mind, you head out of the city gates and into the Old Forest, the guards wishing you luck as you pass.
The best route would be the Adventurer's Road, which is well used by adventurers and merchants alike. It cuts through the Central territories and then turns to go to the Northern Territories and straight to Vanguard itself. You're sure to meet Wild creatures along the way, as well as many other Higher creatures.
Optionally you could brave it in the wilds, trying to get where you're going with your wit alone. But it is not a good idea, as you would be by yourself and likely to get lost. Plus you would not be able to trade for supplies if you needed them, which you could do on the Adventurer's Road with passing merchants.

ANd if there's a party, they'll probably want more favors, which might mean a few extra things.

Inside you can't possibly imagine how all of these people can fit in here. Being quite short, no one really notices you. And it isn't a good thing. You struggle to avoid being trampled while you push past people to get to the front desk.
When you get there, you see a woman serving drinks, sliding them along the counter to outstretched hands. She sees you immediately, giving you a once over. "You're not here for the party," she says over the din. "I presume you're doing favours for a room?"
You nod.
She motions to one of the beer barrels that she isn't tapping from. "Serving duty, just fill a mug and slide it down the counter, someone'll catch it."
Already the numbers of the waiting hands of thirsty customers are getting larger. You awkwardly slide over the top of the counter and take your place by the barrel, taking mugs from a crate, filling them and sliding them.
You don't really have a sense of time until you notice the room getting emptier and emptier, the large window on the opposite wall showing the darkening street outside.
"You've done your bit, thanks for your help," the woman says with a smile. "I'll handle it from here. There's a bed in the third room on the left," she points to a set of stairs in the corner of the room. "Washroom's the one at the end if you want to clean yourself up." She looks at you sympathetically. You've picked up a lot of grime in the last few days.
With that in mind, you head out of the city gates and into the Old Forest, the guards wishing you luck as you pass.

I chose to go on the Adventures road after thanking the guards.
