(*shrugs innocently*)
Jay came up to the conductor, "When was the last time you tuned this piano?" he demanded.
The conductor was talking to another student. "Whatever," he huffed, and sat down in the first row of the first violin section. "Are we tuning yet? Who's the new kid? Where did Phoenix go? We have a duet, remember?"
The conductor was ignoring him, as usual.

I felt my cheeks heat in embarrassment as the instructor animatedly ranted on about music and some other student got all huffy because he was being ignored.
" Are we tuning yet? Who's the new kid? Where did Phoenix go? We have a duet, remember?"
I think that was the same Avian from breakfast...
The instructor started dragging me to the back of the room by my arm despite my protests. I can't wait until they transfer me out of this class....

Jay rolled his eyes, stood up, and began playing tuning notes whether people were ready or not.
(Nah, that was him. Usually the concertmaster or section leader does the tuning.)

(Cello vibrato is easiest, there are the most violin players so you can get help, viola is like violin but with generally easier parts, no one plays bass but it has minimal parts.)

{Cello it is then xD He has Zen anyway who is like, supposed to be music virtuoso]
The instructor thrust me into a musty dark room before apologizing saying he had to get back to his class and running off, closing the door and leaving me in the dark.
Goddamit.
I felt around the doorway for a lightswitch. Bingo.
A single lightbulb flickered to life, casting off a warm glow. The dark crevices between instruments looked like they could eat your arm if you stuck in there. Despite the dust floating around most of the instruments looked clean and well used. What was I supposed to do? Pick one up? I'd probably drop it, and by the looks of things none of these instruments weren't cheap.
Maybe I should have stayed with Spell class.

Jay, frustrated, waved his hand in the air frantically. "Oi! Mister Conductor? When are we starting?"
"Soon," replied the conductor offhandedly. "In the meantime, please tune your instruments."
Jay wondered if the conductor was so oblivious, he could eat a poisonous mushroom, rather than a sandwich, without noticing.
Just then, Phoenix stumbled in the door. "Sorry for being late, Mr. Sun. There was an incident this morning." She looked more worried than usual. "I heard there was a murder."
The reaction of the class varied, some just sat with their mouths open in shock, while others stood up and began asking questions frantically. "Who died? Did they catch the murderer? When did it happen? Are we next?"
Jay blinked, not quite comprehending the situation.
Phoenix shrugged, fidgeting nervously. "There was an announcement just now in the cafeteria, but they wouldn't say any details other than the fact that it was committed by a student, who wasn't caught."
This was met with more panic and people began looking at each other nervously, as if someone here could be the murderer, which was very possible.

Reuvan stared at a Violin with piercing eyes. Maybe he stared hard enough it would just split and they'd move him to another class.
Although just spiking it on the ground would probably yield a better result than just...staring at it. He wondered how long he'd been in there now, surely no more than 3 minutes. God he felt like he was losing his mind.
The violin stared mockingly back at him, or rather, it stayed the same.
He started rummaging through a trunk full of bits of hardware and other junk. Nothing special or interesting, the occasional spider and well....someones mail?
Reuvan pulled out a yellowed envelope, worn at the edges and complete with a wax seal. He narrowed his blue eyes suspicously as he turned it over. There was no address. Or any To and From.
He clutched the envelope delicately and wiped off dust from a abandoned piano bench with the end of his robe. He wasn't sure how they broke wax seals traditionally but Reuvan just ripped it off. Inside were crisp white pages, protected from age by the deteriorating envelope.
It was sheets full of music.
Reuvan sighed as he flipped through the pages. There was nothing written but music, not the title of the piece or the name of whoever wrote it.
Maybe he should have taken Zens offer to teach him how to read music, speaking of, he could have sworn the students outside had just been playing. He wondered why they stopped.
He also wondered what the school thought about stealing, as he pocketed the ancient envelope with its paper contents once again folded neatly inside. The worse they could do was move him to another class right?
Besides, Zen would have a field day with these . The boy ate music up as a snack.
Well maybe he'd insist that Reuvan take them back, but not after memorizing or copying the piece onto another piece of paper.
