Wow! I definitely prefer them to the previous design. They look much more elegant and, has been mentioned, more griffin like.

They are very cute as a standalone, but I feel like they are too... detailed? when compared to the other species. The style doesn't really match, if that makes any sense at all? I can't word today. If there's any way to simplify the design, I'm all for it, is what I mean.
That being said, thank you for putting so much work into this!

They're cute, but I still think that they should look a little more mean, or sultry. Something fearsome but elegant. And I agree that much of the females body is covered up. Maybe thicken her tail? Or make it more reptile like?

Maybe make there front claws two-toed with a back thumb? (Previously I was all for the three-toed front feet, but with all that fluff...it looks a bit crowded now) Spurs? Scattered scales? Something.

The males back foot, the one in front, looks....well its too straight, it should be spread more towards the person? If that makes sense? I think his shoulders should be broader too

pefect in everyway the feather detail is incredible!

so.. i like them overall, but i have some things i'm not feeling so good about. Lots of them have been discussed by others though, so i'll just mention them and move on. (most of my problems are with the female though)

- the females head/neck. She doesn't look fierce enough, and compared to the male, her neck seems too thin and too short and straight.

- the females body. She looks very thin compared to the male. her chest fluff(which i like btw) looks huge, and the rest looks very small/thin in comparison. Also the mentioned concern about the wings covering the body marks.

- The tails. Again, the males has no problem, except maybe the very(perhaps too much) defined tail feathers. The females tail however, seems wrong to me. It looks somehow too thin, and its placement anf flow seems very unnatural. also, same thing about the pinecone look.

- the legs(and wings). Nothing wrong with the front legs and feathers to me. The back legs however, looks way too thin to hold them. I like dinnerbones suggestion of legfluff, but i think they just seriously need to be thicker. Also, something about the females outer back leg bothers me a lot but i can't pin why...

- the claws. I havent seen anyone mention this, but i think the claws on all the feet are massively oversized. I think they could look a lot better if they were half, or even 3/4, the size they are now.


Overall, i like the color gradients, texture and fluff on them, and i adore most of the male, but i really think most of the females problems come with her pose/posture. It would be amazing if she could get a different stance somehow, that reflected more fierceness, and showed more of her actual body, while not making the tail look bent out of place.


Sorry for long rant, but i had a lot of opinions :)

I have never been a fan of Nytekrie but these look like they'll be incredible!

I like them and adore the deail its both graceful and beautful like something out of a fantasy story
