"What's this?" Sammantha asks, holding up the 'powered spell of-'. "It's name is all blurred off." She notes. "Wonder what it does."

'Ah, the powdered spell. Can only use it one time, but it packs quite a punch to the being you are attacking.' The quill writes. 'Costs only a quarter of water. To pay, place it in the cauldron.'

"Oh, I have that much water. Wonder why the quill needs water." Sammantha says. She turns to you, her face lighting up like a child's does when they see a toy they know they won't be able to buy on their own. "May we buy it?"

She squealed a bit. Her breathing became a bit more shallow. "We'll escape. We have too."

"Sure. IT BETTER NOT BE A TRAP!"

Vagabond screams the last part internally.

"Right. I did note that spiders that build webs don't like to chase your prey. I did say that, right? I'm pretty sure I said that." Nikkie says, a look of confusion on his face as he tries to remember, keeping his pace.

If you looked up, you would have noticed a few spiders above you. They were black expect for the glowing green highlights on them. The spiders began crawling after you and Nikkie, staying on the web.

Sammantha jumps, ears popping back up again. She digs in her backpack for her canteen of water and puts in a quarter of the water in the cauldron.

'And anything I can give you? Anything that interests you? Something to help you on your quest to survive the Labyrinth?' The quill writes. What it had written before was slowly starting to disappear so it could write over and over on the same paper without any problem.

"Yep." She said nervously. She picked up her pace as she felt the spider's presence behind them.

Nikkie seems to be purposfully ignoring the spiders. "Well, this isn't the worst thing that could be happening. And I won't say what could be the worst thing in case I jinx us." He says, picking up his pace to stay beside you.
"Predators usually chase after animals that a) are injured or b) run as it wakes up their internal instinct to kill." Nikkie says. "Probably didn't help you there. Sorry. Never mind. I'm not good at trying to help calm others down." He says in a dejected voice.

Vagabond shakes his head. The risk was too great.

'Alrighty then. I wish you adventurers luck on your way. Toddles!' And the quill drops onto the desk again.

Sammantha looks between the two doors before letting you choose which one to go through.

The left door - whatever is behind it is oddly silent.
The right door - whatever is behind it stinks.

Vagabond goes left, still being wary. After all, it could be a trick.
