Kain

Kain dragged Victoria down the path with the webs. "Don't worry, we'll be safe." He choked back tears while he maneuvered the webs.

Victoria follows, keeping her dagger out in case something happened.
There was the familiar sound of spiders crawling around you.
"Prophecied one. What is wrong?" A spider asks. Victoria squeaks and nearly stabs the spider that seemed to just appear next to her.
"Sorry. I'm a little jumpy." Victoria explained to the offended yet unharmed spider.

"I specifically said don't worry for that reason, Victoria." He shifted his attention to the spider. "We're trying to get away from the werebeasts. They've killed Kenzie, and we're trying to find the throne room and Oran."

Victoria lowers her head on shame, putting the bloodied dagger in her pack.
"Our web kingdom is large, if you follow it, you will get close to the throne room. It is not our business to know where Oran is. As for the werebeasts, we shall try to slow them down." The spider clicks, disappearing back into the shadows to join its brotheren. "Just follow the webs, we'll take care of the rest."
Victoria shuffles her feet, "I'm sorry I didn't get to where I needed to be in time. I'm sorry she died."

"It's okay, Victoria. I don't blame you. It wouldn't have been much of a problem if I still had my powers." He followed the path of the webs.

Victoria follows you, turning into her fox form and brushing up against you, floofy fur the same bright pink she had dyed her hair.
The path goes on for a while with all sorts of twists and turns. Victoria nearly catches herself in one of the sticky webs and sticks closer to you - not close enough to trip you up, though.
The path of webs ends, however, like most paths do. There is a fork in the road, both left and right tunnels looking as similar as can be.

"Alright. They look the same. Last time the Nimmts were on the right, but they could be on the other path this time. What do you think Victoria?" He pondered for a minute before cautiously taking a step down the right path.

You set off some sort of booby trap since there is a soft click when you put your foot down. For a few moments nothing happens. Victoria - still in fox form - takes a step ahead of you and nearly gets impaled by a spear. She meows and jumps back, hiding behind your legs.

"Are you okay Victoria? Didn't get hurt by the spear?" He puts his hand over the spot where the spear came out.

Her fur is all fluffed up and her ears flat against her skull. She watches you with big eyes, trembling, afraid that you would get hit by a spear. The opening was closed at this point, having opened to release the sear and now closed now that it wasn't being triggered any more. You would have to re-trigger it for it to shoot at you.
