Hey. Ima jump in too.

So I've been really busy lately. Uhhhhh-----

.
.
.
.

....ANYWAY. UH.

Honestly the most exciting thing thats happened this month is that I'm getting a gun. I'm just gonna say before I go any further. No matter how you feel about guns, remember that its not guns that kill people. Its people who kill people.

.....Uh PSA brought to you by---

So I'm getting a little 4 3/4'ths barrel six-shot revolver with a cocobolo grip..... okay okay I'll just put it. Its a Heritage Rough Rider .22LR/.22 . Lark and Orca you both have my Insta, hopefully I'll have a video up of me shootin' it at the range (if they let you film) cuz' were gettin' it tomorrow and goin' out to the range on uh, Satuday.

To anyone traveling or planning on traveling, beware the Coronavirus.

Lol I haven't been drawing lately someone kick me---

@Goldennautilus @Petanimalady Birds birds? Okay, I'll talk about birds. The Cardinals have been through, and the Bluejays. I haven't seen the hummingbirds. Some I have or haven't seen yet this year but ones I've seen throughout last year uhhh-- Google--

*ahem*

Rose-breasted Grosbeak, the Tufted-Titmouses, the Pileated Woodpecker, Red Tailed Hawk, Barred Owl, Carolina Wren, Ruby throated hummingbird, Gray Catbird, Turtle Doves, American White Ibis, and last but not least, my cities bird (but that doesn't really mean much, they're everywhere), the Sandhill Crane.

Also I have chickens so on the topic of pet birds. We have 15 right now, 3 of those roosters. Our oldest hen- a monster of a Blue Maran- is going on six years now (she's been here from the start) just grew in her new feathers and boy is she fatter than ever. When she runs it looks like shes waddling- you can practically hear the Dum-Dum-Dum-Dum of her feet, she's even getting little white feathers on her face. She's a queen, and when you feed them she'll eye it and then look at you and complain *very* loudly. Because you know, she wants something different, or more.

Yes, YES! We need more good people like you owning guns!

Had a few woodpeckers at the feeder today so that was nice. Still no Sapsucker yet.

Haha, wow, that bird is a queen, huh?

You shoot too? I'm not very good at it but I qualified for pro marksman at my range a week or so ago. My dad was really happy.
I'm only shooting with a .22 right now but they want me to get an instructor so I can shoot air rifle with the competitive team.

We have a duck that sounds like that, we won't have him much longer though. He beats up on my hens and makes too much of a mess. Our kittens just discovered our chickens and they like to pounce at them. We make sure nobody gets hurt though ^-^
My heaviest chicken is my pretty golden laced wyandotte. She's mostly fluff though. I'm hoping to get some more chickens come spring, I'm interested in getting some silkies

Hmmm before this I've had a single shot air pistol- a beeman p17. And ofc a standard daisy bb gun, the red ryder type. My father also shoots so thats how I get dragged in xD

The revolver I'm getting shoots 22, but it comes with a cylinder bored for 22 Mag also.

Frenchie (my hen) is fine, she doesn't pick on the other chickens. We had a Gold laced wyandotte but she was very uh, spastic, so she got sold down the street. Just make sure you can care for the silkies properly, that type of feather makes them more susceptible to illness when they get wet..

My cat doesn't bother the chickens ;p shes a sweetheart. We had a nice batch of new hens this year, maybe 5 or so.

We'd put out a bird feeder but I fear our sleek and flighty easter egger's would find a way to eat it all xD Instead we have a big Mulberry- sprinklers (the cardinals specifically like them to bathe in) and flowers.

I shoot a .22 rifle? I'm not sure what it really is but this instructor told me I was doing really good because the gun I use isnt actually very good for sharpshooting or whatever I'm doing. I dont hang onto technical terms very easily.
My dad shoots and recently went on a trip to Montana to shoot gophers with my friends dad. So both of us got dragged into shooting, I find it quite fun, I'm not too sure about my friend though.
My dad wants me to go to a handgun class even though I cant get the certificate or anything to actually shoot it. I think he just wants my mom to have company.

Cheese, the duck, was a good addition to the flock but the other duck we got to be his friend choked on food and died. Nothing wrong on our part, all the chickens and Cheese were blocking the water. We tried to save them but they were inside an electrified fence so we couldn't get in on time. Anyways Cheese plucks the feathers off my other wyandotte so I've resorted to pushing him around everytime he starts. The only hen he used to be friends with was Logan our ameraucana hen who was pretty severely deformed. They used to almost preen each other? It was cute, they'd just rest their beaks on the other's back.

We'll probably get a new 6 this spring and hope they all survive like the ones this year. (Surviving until they can go into the barn, not counting while they live outside.)

Guns and knives freak me out
Not like some person is going to kill me with them, more like I'm going to miss and hit myself somehow, because I'm stupid enough to do so
Swords and bows are fine
I can't aim a bow to save my life though :D

Ah all our amerucanas passed away, our flock is mostly maran-amerucana mixes aka easter eggers. We have one that looks exactly like our white amerucanas did though, except her egg is just a little too green to be true amerucana. We have a very nice tempered rooster, he's very big, has a huge comb and waddle, but he's sweet. He doesn't bite or pluck feathers and will beg for food, let you pet him, and says very nice things....if you have food xD

We had considered ducks at some point but don't have a source of water of them- unless we got a kiddie pool- but then you know they poop in it and just-- ehhh we dont need more stuff to take care of.

I'm technically not old enough to own a firearm myself, but I can still shoot. The revolver is technically a handgun.

Here is a rough image of what i'll be getting- the grip will be different of course, not all wood is the same.

Ehhh when I was in school they didn't let me shoot the bow cause idfk, uh, i was probably misbehaving or some ******.

Some of the most basic fundamentals of having a gun is to always point it away from other people- aka the floor, and when not in use have the safety on. So you should be good as long as everyone can follow the simple rule. NEVER point a gun near or at another person, even if the safety is on.

My dad is thinking of getting me a gun but he is holding off on it because I dont know if I want to go competitive or not yet.
We had a rooster who would only tolerate my presence and go after everyone else. My parents sold him because he attacked my sister, same thing happened to our silkie rooster. They all seem to like me just fine though.

The gun looks cool ^-^ I'm not too educated on guns though so I cant really say what I specifically like about it except that it's cool
I think earlier I meant to day I couldn't get a carrying permit or something like that so I didnt see the point in going to the handgun classes other than to learn and keep my mom company.
