"Sure, Im supposed to go over and pick up some homemade biscuits in a bit so youre welcone to tag along." Your mom says.

About an hour and a half later you find yourself and your mom standing outside a house two doors down. Its a pretty nice house. You can hear someone playing a piano inside.

Your mom rings the door, the sound chiming out and causing the music to stop abruptly. A minute later, a Hispanic teen that is definitely taler then you opens the door , looks the two of you over and calls back into the house, "Hey mom, they're here!"

Turning to the two of you, he motions inside. "Come on in, my mom'll be out soon. Look out for the cat. It's evil."

"Not my idea. Dogs are cooler." The boy snorts.

A woman comes out. "Oh hello there, Mrs. Silva, and oh this must be your daughter. Hello there! I'm Mrs. Xandori." The woman smiles at you while she and your mom are acting like old friends (which the other guy is rolling his eyes at from where he's taken to slouching against the wall nearby). "And yes, Mateo's right, please watch out for the cat. He doesn't even live here but he's taken to our house and according to his owner once he's settled in he's not moving for a long time."

"More like LIsh brought him here when he moved in." Mateo mutters.

"Anyways, please, come into the kitchen, the biscuits just came out of the oven." Mrs. Xandori invites, heading for what is probably the ktichen.

"Why thank you!" She says cheerfully. "And-Oh, boys, those are the ones for the neighbors..."

You look over and see Lish looking up from where he and another boy are enjoying what used to be two of a dozen biscuits laid out on a tray on the counter. Both of them have varying degrees of guilty expressions. "Uh, sorry Mrs. X. HI Leah." Lish sbeepishly grins."Meinke and I saw them there and couldnt resist."

Mrs. Xandori starts to pack the remaining biscuits. "Yes, wel, if the rate these three go through them is anything to go by I suppose theyre alright."

"Im sure they taste wodnerful." Your mom says brightly, moving to help her.

The two begin talking about different biscuit recipes and you notice Lish's companion in crime sneaking off. Lish, ont he other hand, seems more content tp sick around, leaning on the wall nearby to enjoy the rest of his biscuit.
