I agree, more aquatic pets might be nice. I also think things like the Chimera (a lioness's body with a snake for a tail and hooves with goat horns or a dragon with three heads, the other two being a goat and a lion. I've seen both versions done.) or the Manticore would be cool. (Like a Gryphon, but instead of lion-and-bird, it's a scorpion's back half with a lion's forequarters.)

Also, as I've previously said, a Yeti-like Sylesti from the northernmost region would be interesting, once that area is released. Hydras would be fitting for the jungle or the marsh, in my opinion. I'd also like to see some sort of snake-based thing. Reptiles are sort of under-represented, I feel.

I think an opossum and a kangaroo (or any rodents/marsupials) would be pretty cool! I definitely think there needs to be more reptiles, though. Like iguanas!

I'm not sure where to begin. I was thinking about the suggestions I posted before and also the ideas other people have come up with. I have some ideas about certain pets showing up in certain zones and also about trait ideas.

Enemies
I was thinking about pet versions of vorkids and was pleasantly surprised to find Reynbowz already brought it up. I really like the idea of pygmy ones. I'd also love a cute mushroom pet.



Dinosaurs
About the dinosaur idea suggested, I think it would be fun to maybe have a dinosaur themed region somewhere. Maybe a large island off somewhere.
Dinosaurs I'd love to see would include some sorta long necked dinosaur, a raptor, triceratops, and the parasaurolophus. Of course there'd end up being dinosaurs from various time periods but why not?



Mineral or Crystal Pets
I was thinking these would be great for any of the Western most regions. These wouldn't even have to be necessarily based on any animal or plant.


Aquatic
I would really love an aquatic zone. But how to handle both freshwater and saltwater? Not worry about it?
Love the nudibranch picture! I'd also like to see a regular snail as well. I think the shell could be really interesting. Also the manta ray, any sort of cephalopod, starfish, whale, dolphin, shark, whale shark. If there's a deep sea region or zone there's a whole bunch of very interesting possible pets. The deep sea jellyfish are gorgeous with all their lights.
Regarding freshwater, I love the koi idea! The discus might be another good option. Also, the adorable little freshwater catfish known as corydoras would be wonderful! I've loved those ever since I was little.

koi trait ideas - Markings like the sanke, kohaku, showa, tancho and bekko. I'm sure there's many other patterns that would be possible. Doitsu scales and long fins are a couple other thoughts.

corydoras - Markings can look like leopard, peppered, banded, striped, almost maze-like.



Plants
I support the plant ideas. I'd love to see pets that are based on or incorporate the rose, lotus, and tree. If we have tree pets I think it would be neat to have a deciduous version that drops its leaves during winter but I'm not really sure how possible that is. Also, others might not like having a pet that suddenly doesn't have some of its normal traits visible.




Going to just mention a lot of pets that others and I have mentioned that I'd love to see plus new ones but in terms of location and trait ideas. I won't do all of them right now. I'll make a continuation later as I get more ideas.


Butterfly/Moth - Viridian Meadow, forest zones, and jungle (I did read though of someone having a phobia towards moths)
Traits - various wing shapes including swallowtail, glowing.


Camels - Desert
Traits - shaggy coat, winged, jeweled saddle


Cattle - Viridian Meadows, jungle, mountain zones
Traits - horns, Holstein pattern (just can't have one without)


Demon - Southwestern region or maybe in parts of the northwestern region like the mountain
Traits - single horn, two horns, multiple horns, wings (leathery, evil looking feathery wings, evil looking insect wings), different types of tails (monkey, dinosaur, scorpion, shark)


Elephant - Jungle, desert
Traits - different ear shapes, different tusks


Frog/Toad (tadpoles should probably just start with tiny feet?) - Swamp, jungle
Traits - bumpy to have a more toady look, lots of poison dart frog markings would be neat.


Kappa - Jungle, swamp
Traits - Having a hard time with this one


Owl - Either forest zones
Traits - Flaming eyes (I want one to name Bob), having one eye replaced with some metal and/or crystal eye, horns as in those long feather ear/horn looking things on a horned owl versus a barn owl.



Rams - Any of the mountain regions and northern most zone
Traits - various different horns including vary large ones, shaggy coat


Salamander (mythical version) - Southwestern zone and desert
Traits - anything to do with fire. Could have mutations for either a long dorsal fin going down the back and tail and a fiery version where it's fire running from the head to tip of tail.


Snake - Just about anywhere that's not cold
Traits - a lot of people have mentioned great ideas for snakes. I like having a multi-headed mutation and winged mutation.

Regarding phobias, I think it's important to note that it's not the site's responsibility to accomodate. We already have Vorkids that trigger Arachnophobia and Lupora that trigger Cynophobia. Aurleons trigger Ornithophobia and we have the Ailurophobia-triggering Vulnyx. All four of these are among the most common animal phobias. I don't mean to be insensitive. Dealing with a phobia is hard. That said, this is a pet site. It's up to the user's discretion.

Frogs and Badgers!
