It was late one summer night so deep in the fields that the only light was the moon and the dancing fireflies. A young woman was trudging through the fields, moving towards her home as quickly as possible as the silence unsettled her. Quite suddenly, she came across a man walking the opposite way. He was tall with shaggy black hair and pale skin, his eyes covered by red goggles. Though the night was warm, he was dressed warmly though the coat had begun to fray. He was carrying a silvery lantern with a blue light that set his face into a strange blue glow. Despite her instincts screaming to run, she found herself transfixed by the handsome stranger, walking towards him. When she got close enough to touch him, he suddenly snagged her arm, other hand pulling up his goggles to reveal decidedly inhuman eyes. He gave a wicked grin that showed off sharp fangs and she felt terror freeze her in place. She wasn't going to make it home...

My costume is Medusa as envisioned by Ray Harryhausen in 1981's Clash of the Titans. This has to be one of my all-time favorite movies, and the stop-motion Medusa is still so very iconic. As a child, this scene would disturb and terrify me every time.

Now, of course, I pity her more than anything else. So beautiful that a god wooed her away from her vows and she was punished so horrifically for it. Harryhausen's rendition of her brought her back to life and gave her a broader kind of immortality, as now nearly everyone knows who she was and what she would have looked like. Not the worst legacy, I suppose.

This is My Avatar Now, The Sylesti Winter Angel. She gives Sylestis to new homes before they are left alone in the cold, She has given homes to those that are eggs or even those adult or adolescent to those that could care for them. She only appears when it's cold out, so it's hard to see her without being able to go in the cold yourself and see her. She is sweet and kind hearted no matter if she was normal or not, She rather give Sylestis new homes and receive a thank you than not give anything at all.

She is the Fiery Fairy Queen named Aqua. She has a fiery, but bright temperament. She Loves her subjects and is willing to get dirty helping them.

She was the embodiment of the autumn changes. When she touched a leaf it would slowly bleed from the vibrant Green of summer it the rich orange that embodied Autumn. Her presence slowly turned the waking land to slumber to prepare the land for winter. Her job was to ensure life would continue after the bitter cold came and went. The leaves would fall and insulate the land as a warm blanket would a child.

When I began this game, I told myself that I was going to stick with Aurleons, and I planned to have an Aurleon themed avatar, though now my favorites include Aurleons, Ryori, and Sylvorpa. If I could dress my character up like this now, I would! That's how I was inspired to create this. Sonorus-- the world's foremost avian and sea-fairing pet expert!

This avatar is meant to represent Skoll, whose name means "One Who Mocks", a figure in Norse mythology. According to legend, Skoll was a son of Fenrir and chased the chariot of the sun goddess(Sol) through the sky, while his brother chased the moon god(Mani). It is said that when Ragnarok comes, the two will succeed in their quest, consuming moon and sun.
