The Lucky Pot costs the same entry fee as most of the recent features of its kind (Winter Wonderland, Majestic Maze of Amazements, Anniversary Wheel, etc). The iteration of winning prizes is also a lot higher compared to previous features. In one game you can come away with 3-4 prizes.

So that being said, we will not be lowering its entry fee. However, I guess we can look at creating a cheaper version of the game with lesser prizes.

Also, please keep in mind that the Fortune Festival is considered just a mini event. It is not a full festival like the seasonal ones. It's just here for a little bit of fun and some new avatar items and pet traits to celebrate St. Patrick's Day and, this year, Easter later on.

The upcoming Spring Festival will be an actual festival with an exploration zone, a comprehensive side feature (Sylesti Garden), games, a festival shop, etc, etc.

Having just spent 1.25m and 300 diamonds on 2 Prismatic Philters I won't be spending any real money on this event now and honestly wish I'd saved my gold. It's a very high entry price for very little reward - saying it's similar to entry for Winter Wonderland is a fair point, except with those were guaranteed several prizes for using diamonds and spending a decent amount of money and here we can walk away with nothing or very little. This is far too much luck for me to comfortably take part.

Pity there's nothing cheaper going on or more cost effective.

Absolutely love the graphic for the scratchcard though, and the Lucky Dust is very pretty.

Because of the way the game works, the first time you play will be your lowest chance of winning because all of your rollover counters start at 0 and the Themed Bonus Bar is at 0.

I'm sorry that you and others feel that the game is not worth the cost, but by the numbers, it is a very much more rewarding game than any of our previous ones. So I'm not really sure what to say. =\ I also personally think it's one of the more fun games to play.

The "cost to acquire a Themed Pet" based on averages is the lowest it has ever been for one of these games. It is also the most reliable (least amount of deviation) b/c of how the Themed Bonus Bar works.

if I had gotten a prize at the amount of diamonds that I spent I would agree with you. My attempt earned me less then the amount that I placed into it was my only upsetness.

Yes! c: Glad you are taking a look at creating a lesser/cheaper version so other users (newer members) can play the game too!

It's nice to see there are forum games as well. :D Quite a lot seems to have been done for this mini-event. Thank you for your hard work~

I'm really upset by this event.
I just spent over 3k diamonds on a 3 magical pies, a background, 3 disruptors and 2 greater pet dies. Not even an egg, I guess I was hoping for something worth the $$$ but it was a total waste. I'd refund it all if I could. I won't be spending anymore money on Sylestia, and I recommend that players don't bother buying diamonds just to throw away on this not-so-lucky event. ):

I'm not really sure why there is so much angst regarding the Scratch Card... its prize table is overall better than any previous similar feature, especially that of the Wheel which we used for a very long time.

In regards to Themed Pets... if they were awarded every 6 games we would end the event with upwards of 1,000 of these Exclusive Themed Pets. That would entirely defeat their purpose. We've had these issues pop up in the past and this is always our stance on the matter.

Most importantly though, keep in mind that Sylestia is an entirely free to play game. You do not have to spend anything if you do not want to. However, Sylestia is a living entity and requires resources of both time and money. If everything we did was free and easy, we would not be able to keep it running nor keep up with constant updates. This is also Faiona and myself's full time job. We earn our entire living off of Sylestia. In return, we devote 40-60 hours a week, 52 weeks a year and have for over 3 years now. We work on vacations, we have stayed up for 48+ hours straight to meet deadlines, we pretty much devote our life to Sylestia and we wouldn't want to change a thing about it. We love what we do.

Features like The Lucky Pot are not only a way for players to earn exclusive prizes (in this case, Themed Pets, Avatar Items, a Title, and Trait Disruptors), but it is also a way to help support Sylestia in a fun way so that we can continue paying for artwork, paying for its servers, paying for advertising, and earning a liveable wage by devoting our entire lives to continue the development of this world that we love so much.

Overall, yes, these features are not for everyone and we don't expect everyone to play or play repeatedly. But if you do not want to play these features, there is no reason to go on rants on the forums about how nobody should play it or invest in Sylestia. Just simply do not play it, submit suggestions to improve it, and play the other things that we provide... like Forum Games, Pick a Door, etc, which are entirely free and award free premium prizes.

I'm sorry that you were unhappy with your experience with the game, but this isn't really the place to rant about it. I hope you can understand. You can always send me a PM in game to voice your concerns.

I'm sorry if my lashing out offended you, you and Fai are not the targets as much as Pot of Gold, and it comes from a place of disappointment.

I love sylestia, and I spend money on every event that I can.
I don't regret supporting you or Fai because you guys do an *amazing* job, and no one can disagree with your commitment to the game or the community.
I do not regret where the money went, just that my impression was going to be similarly fruitful to my other experiences in participating in Sylestia-chance events.

I will continue our discussion of my concerns on PM.

Mmm.. I do hope the potential cheaper option might have avatar items in it.. I gathered up diamonds anticipating I would be able to buy an avatar item like I did for Fest of Love, but instead there is only the luck scratcher, which i'd pay the same for as one of those avatar items had cost, with very little likelihood to get one.. and as the themes this fest are not quite to my personal tastes, so I don't really want to go for the shot of one anyhow, I would have muchly preferred the avatar items not all be locked into the random chance game as well as the themes.
