Mutation: Broken Chain
Gene: Hawker
(I tried to draw the marking of the dragonfly "Common Hawker". In this example, the gene's main color is displayed in brown, Color 2 would be the green parts and the transition into yellow could be provided by the Eye Color.)

I thought I would give this a try so are my entries...
Sorry they are only done on the female version and with pencil but I hope it gives you the idea.
Gene: Tri color or Sunrise Coloration (would use 3 colors. and could have a more defined line between them. If the line is more defined then make sure it is broken or staggered line so it seems more like the colors blend into each other.)
Mutation: Spiny Crest

for the female i was thinking raptor stripes (gene1) and stardust (mutation3).
for the male i was thinking night hawk and flower petals.

Ny'venes are the nearest things Sylestia has to dragons. The late author Anne McCaffrey became famous for her stories about genetically engineered creatures, called dragons, who enabled a human colony to survive on a hostile alien planet called Pern.
In her novels, McCaffrey described her dragons, and they were not exactly like the legendary creatures. One feature I really liked about them were their jewel-like, multifaceted eyes--
So here's my attempt at a Mutation I call "Dragon Eyes"--
BTW, I mislabeled the colors. Cyan is the Eye Color, but Magenta is the Mutation Color, as Dragon Eyes is a Mutation, not a Gene.
Oops, almost forgot the Gene. "Dazzle Camo."

You have to send them to yourself and then copy and paste. If you want an image, put the image link in this- [im g ] [/img] (I put spaces before and after the g so you can actually see the link)
You can just highlight the link and click the button that says IMG (NOT IMG=.)

Here is something I've been working on. At first I was going for a spotted tabby feel but decided to mix it up a little bit when the markings weren't working out for me. Hope you enjoy. c:

Rain Frog
There's different genera that are called rain frogs but this one is roughly based on the Madagascar Rain Frog (Scaphiophryne madagascariensis).
