A Mega-Evolution requires a Keystone, that the trainer holds, a Mega Stone, which the pokemon holds, and a strong bond between the trainer and the pokemon." she beckoned Gardevoir over.
"This is Braillen's Gardevoirite." the bluette said, pointing to the Mega Stone on the shiny Gardevoir's* scarf.
"Cool, isn't it? Did you know, Charizard can also Mega-Evolve." she added.

(*I have a shiny Gardevoir on Omega Ruby named Braillen that can indeed, Mega-Evolve.)

"I did know. I'm not completely clueless," Ashley said, folding her arms in mock indifference.

"Well, sorry." Alex said. "Well, when Charmander evolves into Charizard, we can ask my Godfather, Lysandre if he can help us find Charizardite X or Charizardite Y. He's an expert at finding Mega Stones."

"Your Pokmon are all so cute!" Ailla sqealed happily. "Meet my little cutie!" Ailla said releasing her eevee into her lap. "Eev!" The silver creature said excitedly.

"Amazing. A shiny Eevee." Professor Sycamore said, moving closer to take a better look at the silver pokemon.

"Oh is that what it is?" Ailla said. "What does that mean?" She asked.

"Shinies are very rare Pokemon with a different coloration," Ashley said, trying to sound professional.

"Wow!" Lilly said, "I don't know much about Pokmon."

"My dad and I focus on researching the secrets of Mega-Evolution. I do a lot of field work, Dad just plays around in the pokemon habitat." Alex said, playing with her silvery-blue hair.
"Do not!" Sycamore cried in embarrassment.
