Thomas smiled and held his hand out to each of them "Pleasure! Seems at least there is someone here who can reach the top shelf" he said with a smirk glancing back at Yuri who was restraining her self from punching him in the face. " We should get going... we can take the port boats if we hurry" she said tightening her pony tail.

"Oh! Right! I wanted to beat this island trial, though I guess we should do some training first" Sylver said to her friends. Popplio and Zorua barked, following their trainer to go training, Rhys followed after her, shouting there was no way she would get stronger than him.

Thomas and Yuri glanced at one another and then back at the running Sylver and Rhys, Yuri shruged her shoulders " It wouldent hurt to Train, Litten" Thomas Chucked, "Funny you getting a Fire Type when Vul and Ren Get along so well" he said letting the ginger Vulpix out to play. Vul Growled but that did not seem to phase the little girl now swatting at his fluffy tails. Yuri set Vul down so he could run away from his assailant between everyone's legs. " True, Its strange how Clingy Ren is But Vul doesn't want anything to do with her" Thomas Sighed and Piked Ren up so she would stop pestering the little male. "yeah and they won't battle each other either..." he added. " well even if they can't battle, we could always go to the club house to train on commands and hand signals for Vul and Litten..." she said before looking at the other two that were still there, " The area is big enough for us all to train" she said

It looked like Gradient had no other choice but to travel in a group with these normal trainers. And he was younger than them all! But they didn't know that. After all, Gradient was taller than Short Stack Yuri over their. "My name is Gradient." He told Thomas. "Pleasure to meet you."

Gradient's eyes carefully scanned Thomas. Golden, ruffled hair. Crimson eyes, shining like those of the legendary Champion Red's. Gradient saw a cocky smirk, but a degree of softness in his eyes. Just like the legendary Champion Green, with the same cover of cockiness, huh?

Perhaps Gradient was over analyzing this Thomas character too much.

"We could train here." Gradient said. "But frankly, its not as open as it could, or should be. We're six or seven people- while there may be enough ground area, the trees block the skies above. We're essentially trapped if disaster happens." Gradient pointed out. "There's also no source of fresh water nearby." Gradient noted.

Not even 10 minutes later, Rhys and Sylver came sprinting back, a horse of alolan rattata chasing the two. "Marina! Disarming voice!" Sylver called to her Popplio. Marina attacked with disarming voice, taking down a few of the rattata in the front of the pack. "Buizel, water gun!" Rhys quickly shouted to his partner "Litten, ember" he commanded his Litten. "Zorua, dark pulse!" The two trainers fought side by side, managing to take down the pack of rattatas before rejoining the group.

"Well come on then! to the Clearing" he said waving his hand in the direction of the woods placing his other hand in his pocket, Ren close on his heels. " Hey wait up, You know my legs are shorter than yours!" she said racing to catch up with him. The forest was pretty dense, but after a while they came into a clearing with a small pond and a log, as well as a small wooden club house against the trees.

"Woah! This place is beautiful" cooed Sylver. Marina dove into the water, Zorua ran after it stopped at the water'a edge, Marina came up and splashed her. The two girls ran playing in the water, Sylver just sat at the edge of the water and watched.

Rhys's Buizel jumped in the water, playing with Marina, Litten started playing with Zorua on the shore. Rhys sat about a foot away from Sylver, the two glared at each other, but then smiled watching their Pokemon play.

Ailla ran after them. When she got to the clearing she realeased her rowlet who immediately used gust on her pushing her back and making a mess of her hair. before perching on her head and placing its wings to blind her. She just laughed and moved the wings. "Why don't you go play with the others?" She asked not angry in the slightest about the bad behavior. The rowlet pecked her and turned its nose up obviously seeing itself as the master and Ailla as little more then a servant. "Ok, how about some training?" Ailla tried still not angry at all. "Roo!" Was the angry reply as the bird beat its wings on her head. "Would you like to go forage up some breakfast?" Ailla asked sweetly. "This time the bird just nodded and pointed with its wing to some nearby bushes. You didn't quite trust the naughty look in its eyes tho.
