The only battles that are community dependent are the Bosses, of which none are available yet.

And for the Bosses, everyone will have to defeat it. It just has a stacking debuff depending on community participation. Even if you're late to the show, that debuff never goes away. So even if you battle that Boss 6 months after the global Stage did, it will still have at least as big of a debuff as it did when it was defeated - which is the same effect as if you were doing it live.

You know, I am really liking the Lost Grove. The music is cool and I got a few items to buff up my creatures too.

The Ancient Ents are a pain but when I read that you block when the Wrathful Fury is activated, the fight went much better.

I need to do a lot more battling to get the expertise levels increased but so far I am really liking this.
Too bad that I forgot to hand in my accumulated things but...no biggie. Lots of stuff to find so..Thanks Krin for all your hard work.

So will it then take much longer for an individual to complete stage 1 before they can move on? (Because there isn't any help from the community)
Also, whenever I give any items in the percentage doesn't increase, not sure if it's a glitch or I'm just not giving in enough

I was gone from Saturday to Tuesday, disconnected from wifi, and when I checked the lost grove on tuesday, the first section was already complete, so I was given no chance to move on to the second stage, and I have to do the first part on my own. How long is it going to take for the community to complete the second stage? I dunno, but certainly faster than I will take to finish the first stage on my own. Basically, right now I feel like that student in class who didn't understand something, and is a little behind, but the teacher gives priority to those before me, and so I fall farther and farther behind. And so there goes my motivation to even try to complete the first section.

As soon as you complete you'll join us for the second stage, but you can't expect a free pass. For one the second stage content will be harder, the idea of doing the first stage is to level you up sufficiently for the second stage where the level cap will be rising again. For the other you'll miss story elements if you just skip stages.

The stages should go on long enough that you'll be able to catch up and join during the second to get through to the third. Or you can take the whole journey at your own pace and not feel stressed about being potentially underlevelled. Remember this is not a short event this will be here until the site relaunches, there is no rush and you can still chat with everyone on region chat and they'll give you tips.

I mean, I have received concerns on literally the same issue - but from both sides lol. There really is no viable solution other than some tweaks to #'s and such - which I have been doing and will continue to do.

On your side, you want to continue with the global Stage without having participated in previous stages.

On the other side, players have been upset that because they only barely participated in Stage 1, they are now automatically moving on to Stage 2 and would rather sit and enjoy the fullness of Stage 1.


I can resolve the other issue by allowing for an "opt out", which I do plan on doing now that I made some code changes this week with how the Individual Stages function. I probably will get that pushed out before Stage 3.

However, in your case, an "opt in" would not be wise. As Amaya stated, each Stage gets a bit harder and harder - it adapts to what the player is supposed to be at. Having participated in Stage 1, whether in the global or individual version, you'd have leveled up some, found some gear, gotten used to new battling mechanics, etc. If you just jump into Stage 2 without having done that - you will be at a big disadvantage. And that disadvantage would only continue to grow for the more stages you skipped.

It really doesn't take that long to complete Stage 1 and all of the stages are balanced around basically the same overall time to completion - for the most part. Obviously, they're not all exactly the same, but roughly. Stage 1 is the exception because it's meant to just be the introductory stage.

Of the players who have actually been progressing towards completing the Individual Stage 1, over half of them are already completed or close to completion. And that's been available I think for only 2 days so far.


It will most likely be 2 weeks before Stage 3 begins. This means you have those entire two weeks to finish your Individual Stage 1. This will then automatically bump you into the global Stage unless I get the "opt out" feature implemented and you were to opt yourself out.

Regardless, even if you aren't in the global Stage 2 when it begins, you can still be in the Lost Grove chatting and socializing with everyone else. You'll just be working on your tasks and others will be working on their tasks.

Correct.

It looks like you have only handed in a handful of battles worth of branches and supplies. But it is tracking. It only updates every 5%.
