You look around, mostly seeing dead fish, large crates, more boats, people, and some parrats (creatures who are part parrot and part cat) sitting on the shoulders of various people and swooping down from the air to grab some of the smaller fish from their masters. In the distance, you see Olix and a few others coming to the port

You walk over to Olix who seems glad to see you. As hes about to introduce you to the other people hes with, a loud scream is heard nearby.

The people are the docks are all shouted, and a little girl is weeping loudly along with a few other terrified onlookers as they watch Sky eat someones pet Parrat. A sailor yells, running over with a knife and stabbing the griffin in the side with it.

The Parrats overhead make loud shrieking sounds as the previously colorful sky clears out as the small animals run to hide.

*Grab a net! Dont let this monster get anymore of our Parrats!* the sailor with the knife yells, and a few others around grab some nets, others are holding on to their bird cats as they abscond from the area in fear

"Dust stalkers are attracted to bright lights... it'll be hard in the daytime, but a red light or lantern might work" Oriah grunted. "Their main prey has a red light on them to- *Huff* -see in the dark and attract bugs -*huff*" Oriah took in a deep breath, twirling around and in one swift moment, the rock she was holding broke into smaller bits that fell around her. "Where did my fanblades go?" Oriah shouted, picking up the 6 she could find as you distracted the monster

"Take this! it'll attract it, so run fast!" Oriah shouted, reaching into the neck trim of her robe and pulling out a glowing red orb and throwing it towards you. "Run fast! Don't worry, you'll be fine!" Oriah yelled, closing her eyes and inhaling briefly, then dashing over to another one of her fanblades.

"Dust stalkers aren't exactly uncommon in this area, it's probable that some lanterns from the cities attracted one over. However, it's totally possible that someone lured it here as an attack" Oriah warned, the dusk stalker instantly perking up at the sight of the glowing red orb and roaring.

She gave a nod and darted forward, taking the glowing red orb before skidding to the side, sending up dust as she turned to face the right direction before taking off in a full sprint towards the edge. She did have endurance, but keeping up a full sprint for too long was hard for her. She didn't look back as she head towards the outskirts, trying to buy herself time by darting around rather than running in a straightline or suddenly changing direction,

Just don't look back. That was the rule. She clung onto the orb with dear life, if only it was a kitten and willing to play. That would be fun. How much longer until she could stop? She had no idea, and the adrenaline was starting to build up, muscles burning as she took in more desperate breathes. There were beadlets of sweat starting to form.

The Dust stalker roars again, but this time, much more high pitched and scared. Oriahs yelling can also be heard, though her voice was being used more from anger and exertion than fear. Since the monster was no longer chasing you, you could safely turn to see that Oriah has long, dark, claw-like tendrils coming from her hands.

She had some dark gloves that went down to her elbow, which ended in the furry feathers that the rest of her outfit also had. The tendrils wrapped around the running dust stalker, lifting it off the ground, and with another yell, Oriah twisted around, throwing the creature far into the distance. It looked back towards the slums before getting up, staggering, and running away.

*Good job, thank you... so... much...* Oriah thanks you, clearly exhausted and dirty from the fight. The tendrils on her hands shrink into claws, that were still longer than normal finger, but shorter than the sharp tendrils. The trim of the glove seemingly climbed up her arm to her wrist before they popped off, transforming back into fan blades and falling to the ground, as well as Oriah, laying down, completely tired out

She looked shocked, watching in surprise. She looked out and where the Dust Stalker had been and landed, worried, "Do you think it may be injured?" she asked gently, although there was some nervousness in her voice. Those tendrils.. they'd looked demonic.. was it safe to let Prince Oba around this woman? Should she be rushing to his side? Was she keeping her there so no one would be guarding him?

These questions filled her with worry, so she approached the woman cautiously, crouching down and delicately putting her fingers to the side of her neck, trying to keep them as still as possible as she pressed down, although she was shaken up. She was trying to feel a heartbeat, it didn't kept that most of her nerves were deteriorated from frostbite, so she had to press hard.

"Ms.. may I please invite you back to where I stay in the Palace? It is not grand, but I rarely use the bed, so it shouldn't be a problem.." she gulped, was this possible threat the right choice? She had no right to invite the lady anyway, being a lowly servant. However, she cleared needed some sort of immediate care, and Leto could not stay here to do so.

You could feel Oriah's pulse pounding underneath her skin, though your medical knowledge isn't well enough to know if that's good or bad, you can tell she's probably alive. She twitched a little when she felt your touch, and opened her eyes a little.

"Dust stalkers... are very heavy..." She panted, rolling onto her back as she looked up at you. "You shouldn't... worry about me, I'll just be a little... winded for some time" She tells you, ceasing to speak so she could catch her breath a little.

"The palace sounds like a nice... place to visit..." Oriah says, taking your offer. "Not for... long though... I don't want to... abandon... everyone here" She tells you, pushing herself up so that she was sitting back on her elbows. Getting onto her knees, she plucked her fanblades off the dirt ground, clicking them back together and folding the fan. "May I have... that... red orb?" Oriah requested. "It's what I usually... use to chase... Dust stalkers away" She explains.

The sailor gives you a confused look. Olix comes over and translates what you said, and even though he looks a little more understanding, he still looks incredibly angry. You find yourself unable to bandage Sky, as you lacked any bandages in your inventory

"Don't lie to me punk, Parrats are domestic animals, they don't naturally live in the wild, and money isn't what I care about, my family had Ruby for 6 years, and she was the sweetest little thing!" He yells at you, Olix backing away from the man slightly. "But you better hand over money for a new one" He threatens you
