Inside you can't possibly imagine how all of these people can fit in here. Being quite short, no one really notices you. And it isn't a good thing. You struggle to avoid being trampled while you push past people to get to the front desk.
When you get there, you see a woman serving drinks, sliding them along the counter to outstretched hands. She sees you immediately, giving you a once over. "You're not here for the party," she says over the din. "I presume you're doing favours for a room?"
You nod.
She motions to one of the beer barrels that she isn't tapping from. "Serving duty, just fill a mug and slide it down the counter, someone'll catch it."
Already the numbers of the waiting hands of thirsty customers are getting larger. You awkwardly slide over the top of the counter and take your place by the barrel, taking mugs from a crate, filling them and sliding them.
You don't really have a sense of time until you notice the room getting emptier and emptier, the large window on the opposite wall showing the darkening street outside.
"You've done your bit, thanks for your help," the woman says with a smile. "I'll handle it from here. There's a bed in the third room on the left," she points to a set of stairs in the corner of the room. "Washroom's the one at the end if you want to clean yourself up." She looks at you sympathetically. You've picked up a lot of grime in the last few days.
"Thanks." Nicote nods. Hes just relieved no one noticed who he is....with all those people youd think someone would have seen him and caled him out. He heads for thestiars and the washroom.

You spend the last few hours of the day walking along the Adventurer's Road, the Old Forest on either side of you. A few merchants pass, but none with anything of interest. At one point you see Hippogrifs flying high overhead, but apart from that nothing much happens.
It is almost nightfall and you are about half a day from the Central territories. Exhuastion is beginning to settle in your bones, as well as the chill of the night. Being the season of Clearsky, it's about to get frosty.

You were quite lucky that most of the people in the party were almost blind drunk when you came in. Tomorrow morning, when some regulars come in for their breakfast... you might not be.
The washroom is thankfully vacant, most of the tenants probably in their rooms trying their best to sleep. You are completely drained of energy while you clean yourself up a bit. There's no way to wash and dry your clothes, so you'll just have to make do.

You stop dead just as you enter the room. You check the room again and your suspicions are confirmed.
The innkeeper failed to mention that you'd be sharing the room with someone else.
One bed, yours, is clean and the sheets freshly made. The other against the opposite wall has a sleeping figure under the covers. You can't tell anything else about your new roommate.
Thinking about it, it isn't surprising. It isn't uncommon for inns that deal in favours, though they might be clean and maintained well, go for the cheaper option of two or more to one room.

Nicote groans quietly and decides he's too tired to argue with the innkeeper. He wakes up early, so maybe he'll be able to get out before this person wakes up. Hopefully they sleep in.
He goes to his bed and immediately collaspes into it.

After yesterday's late night, it's no shock that you sleep slightly later than usual, but not much. However what is an unpleasant surprise is that your roommate seems to be an early riser too. You hear them shuffling around, and you can only presume that the noise is of them rifling through bags.

Nicote groans. He can't exactly just stay here in bed....he moved too much, they'll know he's awake. Might as well face the music. Hopefully he can escape downstairs, wolf down some breakfast, and get out of htis plcae wihtout having to talk more then he has to.

"Oh, hey, you're up," you hear a female voice say. You rise from the bed, rubbing at your eyes as she continues. "I hope I didn't wake you... you came in late last night, and I mean I was up too but there was a party - though I suppose you'd already know that... but I didn't say hi because I kinda just thought, I dunno, it'd be awkward or something."
She lapses into silence, perhaps realising she's babbling, as you give her a once over. Her silver hair is in a neat braid, and she has unusual pink eyes. You can't help but stare as you notice that, when normal Elves have a delicately pointed ear, her's has been bitten off by some creature. To match that, she has a a trio of scars that cut across her face, barely missing her eye.
It seems your roommate is someone who people would think as odd as well.
