I refuse to let this club die again.
Anyways, random announcement time? What do you guys think I could do to make this club more active? (No one seems to be interested in writing contests for some reason, lmao)
Also, would anyone be interested in being on a pinglist anyone can use if they just want people to look at their writing and criticize or if they're just interested in being pinged whenever someone has something to show?
Oh hecc who changed their username -_-

I'd be interested in that pinglist honestly.
As for getting people more active, I don't have any suggestions at the moment (other than maybe more contests and being able to vote on the themes of them, maybe?)
I'll let you know if I can think of anything though.

Also, if either of you are interested in reading, I started writing something to help work out how Erwen's magical stuff works, feel free to comment because I like comments.

I'd be fine for both ends of that
Also you could maybe have mini things? I find writing is hard for me when I think I'll have to write a lot aha.

We could open up discussions about writing things...
Like, an open invitation on the first post: Feel free to ping everyone discussing topics, such as good character arcs, avoiding Mary-Sue characters, loose storyline ideas you've always wanted to make into realities, character name ideas, etc., probably initiated by someone pretty involved and well-liked in the club and eventually picked up by other members.
Also, the prizes would have to be pretty big or the writing prompt something the writer has already thought about for a while before they'd put their work out there... like with artists, it takes guts and a lot of confidence to just put stuff out there. It's your baby, and people are gonna hate it, as many as there are who like it. It's hard to face that and get to where you're comfortable.
So unless the prize is like, an ultra-rare avi item, a peerless token, or a... six-vis max-stat theme (you get the picture), it's sticking your neck out for... a relatively small amount of payoff. No criticism, just being told someone else did better than you, when the contest-holder's preference could be completely subjective. There could at least be a participation award of optional constructive criticism, which would add a b i t more incentive, at the least.
And yes, I'd love to be in that pinglist @-@
I can assure you, my username willn't change until the end of time. It is my calling, my very destiny, to always carry the Alphadawg legacy...

There's an idea, an easy and fun prompt: write the backstory to your username, can be fiction or non-fiction, no NSFW or any sort of nasties, otherwise free game, eh? How 'bout that?
I can write of my homeland... of the doggos... and how I came to be, on this earth, AlphaDawg u-u
Humble, dashing, warrior of justice and friend to all -w- XD
