"Yeah, that didn't help but, uh, it's fine. As long as a gigantic spider doesn't just drop on us, I'll be okay." She tried to smile for Nikkie.

Behind the left door is a dark and deadly drop straight down. If you can jump five feet over it, the path continues cheerful as always. Sammantha jumps over the drop no problem. She looks forward, tail fluffing back up again as she waits for you.

Vagabond leaps over the pit, making sure to keep calm. He was sure he had changed this whole time.

Starter:

The Labyrinth is a feared place, full of monsters and tributes. No one has managed to escape the place. It is a good thing, though, that there are chosen tributes. With every tribute, the monsters are held off for a month longer.
No one knows how the tributes are chosen, just that they are and there are two put in each month.
You were chosen, and now, here you are, inside the Labyrinth, your fate sealed as the doors slam shut behind you.
At your side, there is a Dragon - currently in human-ish form. His sharp golden eyes surveyed the place around you. Sparky came into the Labyrinth the same time as you, being the other tribute.

There are two paths, one to the left and one to the right.

Left - odd humming and chanting
Right - has strange runes trailing down it.

Nikkie tries to smile back, his fangs gleaming slighty as they reflect the green glow of the spiders. He glances up at the spiders, which were desperate not to touch anything that wasn't the web or its prey but still wanting to get them. "I guess we just have to stay out of their reach and get away from the web."

I try to convince the dragon to be my friend and go down the right path with me. I don't entirely trust this dragon but we're in the same situation and we both want out. I could attempt to study the runes and figure out their origin. The dragon could be a useful ally (Italics are thoughts)

"We could huddle closer together. If that's possible." She folded her wings closer to her body.

The path continues onward, even if it looks a little bit questionable, parts of it dropping into oblivion and the walls looking old and unused. Dust piles were heaped every which way, and Sammantha left footprints when she walks. The door closes behind you and muffled laughter sounds around you. Sammantha takes a deep breath.
"I'm not scared." She says in a wobbly yet determined voice.

The Dragon seems to be unable to talk. He only nods at your suggestion and heads after you to the right path. He seems to recognize the runes, his eyes showing that he is holding something back. He glances towards you, attempting to sign something, clearly unsure if you can understand him or not.
