He took off. making sure to revert himself to elf form before drawing any further suspicions to himself on what was going on.
Overall the palace seemed sort of shell-shocked and no one exactly knew how to respond.
He was sure there would be visitors later intent on seeing the results of their handiwork, but he would deal with it as it came about.

He watched him go, then turned his gaze back to the Empress.

Once the Empress Dowager and her family had gotten word of the Empress' condition a few hours later, they were the first ones to visit the still resting royal.

Lowell and Giselle were seated in the room, reading through a few texts over some ale as the Empress Dowager entered the room.
They showed their respects to her and her family and kept more or less quiet, but wary.

Gallagher stepped aside for them, but he was clearly reluctant to leave her side.

The Empress Dowager seemed like she would break down in tears from the sight of her child, her only child, but kept her composure. At least in front of them.

Her father, Duke Tuania and her brother went outside the room to discuss with the captain of the guards as to how and why this entire thing happened.

"If you must mourn, then mourn, your Highness, but she still lives. And if it is at all needed, we will remain by her side to ensure she recovers in full and that there are no further attempts on her life."

"It is good to hear that our aid will not be turned down. There is.. a lot of suspicion going around already, but if it helps, Gallagher and myself can provide any information you may need., your Highness. We already know the identity of the two individuals in question that enacted this."

" ...I presume one of them is Lady Diana, correct? "

"Yes, without a doubt. And we highly suspect the other to be Grand Duke Monstrell. There seems to be a level of collaboration going on between the two."
