This is my first roleplay on this site, so bear with me, please. I'm very excited for it, though.

Intro:
When a person reaches the age of twelve, they leave on a quest. A quest to find their Spirit Animal. They travel the world, wandering its wild places, until they are discovered by their Spirit Animal. This creature bonds with them, and the pair becomes inseparable. They feel the other's pain. If one dies, the other's soul is broken. But, this life has advantages as well. Constant companionship, always a friend who understands what you're feeling. Most can't imagine anything different.

So, basically, your character is bonded with a Spirit Animal, a companion that they can communicate with and share the feelings of. This roleplay is set in modern times, at a high school in a town in a made-up world. Yes, this is a little similar to the daemons in the Golden Compass, although the SA can't shapeshift. I'm leaving the choice up to you, the roleplayers, whether or not you want this to be a free-range RP or plotted. If you want it to have a plot, we can work on thinking one up. (I personally prefer a plot but can't think of one for the life of me)

Guidelines for the Spirit Animals:
No mythical animals, though I'm willing to accept cryptids, because they're technically real but unproven.
A person cannot directly hurt their SA. For example, if their SA is a mouse and they accidently step on it, that mouse will be completely unharmed. If they accidently push their mouse off a cliff, however, well....they better hope it can fly.
A person can hurt someone else's SA, though it's considered a dirty move to do it during a fight or for revenge. It's also frowned upon to touch someone else's SA.
Predators will instinctively avoid Spirit Animals, so don't worry if yours is a rabbit or something similar.
'Spirit Animal' does not mean the animal is actually a spirit. It's a real, physical being. *sigh* Yes, I know, I'm no fun.

History: Had a best friend, but she died, and Sylina knew it was her fault. But she put on a happy face. When she discovered Pokemon, she went crazy. That's how she got her nickname as Sylveon, the FairyType EeveeEvo. Always will love Pokemon. She has all the games and every card known. Knows quite a bit of computer science, so whenever she could, she'd hack a Pokemon creator's email and try to see what new Pokemon were coming out and would post it everywhere online. She also tried to send submissions of Pokemon ideas. That was when she was 10. She snuck her whole life. What you couldn't tell that her life at home was insanely strict. Her parents were...abusive. They would hurt her if she got an A- or less. A+ they'd leave her alone. They didn't actually have a computer she was "allowed" to use for recreation time. But her friend did and she'd go there a lot, one, because she wouldn't have to face her parents, two, because she could play her video games there. Her friend was also a major fan of Pokemon and was the one that inspired her. Her friend gave her her first Pokemon card. A NormalType Arceus. She very cherishes it with her life. When her friend died and she couldn't do anything anymore, leaving her only her home. In secret, she stole a computer and brought it home, but not her parents knowing. Every free second she had, she'd play on the computer. At school, she'd also do that too with a 3DS XL. Her parents never knew. Then, when she found Hazel, they became one and Hazel to her, felt like her friend had given her another chance to make up for her friend's death.

His mom was a writer and that's where he got his story ideas. He always loved literature and medicine. He is at the top of his classes. Honor roe. But what made him study so much was because of Isabel. His sister had an extremely rare disease. Like, very rare. The doctors said that she might not live very long. When Edison understood it, he protected his sister. He loved her with his life because his parents were always busy and his older sister was ignoring them. He knew how to handle Isabel and all that. His sister never went to school, but he teached her. Then he started studying medicine in hope of finding a cure for his sister's deadly and life threatening disease. Then, he found out his sister' slide was growing shorter. He drove her to the hospital and the dicots confirmed that Isabel would die soon. Hearing that, he tried even more at studying medicine before it was too late. He still watched over Isabel. His sister knew she wasn't gonna live. They both knew. Their parents still didn't know shout Isabel's short time. To this day, he's still worried sick about Isabel.

History: Connor's family traveled for a living, as his parents were ornithologists studying birds all over the world. He enjoyed the life, but finds it rather lonely, especially after his older brother went to college. When his mother fell sick, they settled down. She's started to become better, and Connor is worried they'll begin moving around again and he'll lose all the friends he's just beginning to have.

History:
With her family falling apart - her brother in the hospital, father missing and mother sick - she finds it hard to get by each day, having to take up part time jobs to pass each day with food and provide for her family. It helps that her family's given money and that the hospital fees are paid off by charity, since it gave her some free time for herself. During these small periods she learnt martial arts for self defence, and excelled at it. Now, she's attending school and holds a part time job at the hospital in which her brother stays. She can only hope he wakes up soon, since he was in a coma after getting hit by a car.

Personality: Ren is usually laid back, and isn't very active, though running isn't a problem for him, since dexterity and agility is one of his strong points. It's his strength he's worried about. While Ren is laid-back and relaxed, he does pay attention during classes and takes down notes, but at his own pace, and copies down what he wants, sometimes ending up drawing on his notebooks.
However, he does enjoy playing games, and from relaxed and laid-back, becomes highly competitive and animate. Since most of his games are strategic and makes use of observation skills, listening skills, memory and reaction times, those are his strong points, but since he is a gamer, his strength is lacking, as is his constitution, in terms of how many hits he can take, since he rarely gets sick, but succumbs to pain easily.
Ren is also very cheerful and in a sense, 'fun', though he can at times be an air head ((When not serious or playing)). Like Solaris, he's serious when it comes to issues involving his friends, family, SA and when he plays games.

He's mature and has a tendency to be sad, in a way. He's actually quite nice once one gets to know him, and he's extremely loyal. Like his SA, Orochi, he's fast, but as easily as he is fast, he's weak and gets sick easily. He's immunity to poison is high, however, and he is actually quite helpful, helping out at the hospital every now and then, and treating others' wounds and what not. Due to his personality and looks, girls sometimes chase after him, to which he finds an annoyance.

With the aid of Orochi's poison, he could cure more ailments, using the poison in conjuncture with medicine to heal wounds faster or heal ailments more easily. Other than that aspect, he lives a fairly normal life.

She can be cold to others, but rarely so her friends. She has a temper though, and insulting anyone she knows and likes, especially her loved ones, and she'll come after you. She worries for her more child-like friends, and treats them like kids that need to be babysitted, to the point Tetsu has to continually remind her not to babysit them. She also treats her games very seriously, and cannot stand a loss. Worst than Ren when it comes to handling losing, she will snap at her team mates, while Ren would usually not bother about them till he calms down.

She loses her temper easily, and feels as if their opponents are all inferior to them, or if they are new to the game, she'll make fun of them. She's impulsive as well.

Kai is a serious person who doesn't talk much or to anyone and doesn't like to joke around. When playing, he is more serious and is confident on winning the game without any need of support or help. Despite his selective mute personality, he has two best friends, who are Ren and Tetsu.
When around those two in private or with his team mates, he's a lot more friendlier than normal and tends to smile and enjoy himself a lot more. In public, he reverts back to his stern self but on rare occasions he does not. Kai likes cooking as well, and shares similar catchphrases to Ren and Tetsu.
In reality, Kai is actually quite friendly, but will only show this side of him to those he trusts, but an aspect of him that doesn't change is his seriousness. And while usually not needing any help or supports in game, he does not hesitate to help his friends both in real life and in the virtual world, be it card games or console and computer games.
He is slightly sore about losing, but does not take it too seriously like Ren and Asaka. He likes music and prefers the sole company of his SA, but will stand the company of others.

History: His parents sent him to the school where he now studies at, as their work has them to travel around the world. Due to this, Kai is left alone at home, and only see his parents for a most a month per year. While most others would find this a lonely lifestyle, it fits him well, so he has no qualms living alone. Besides, he has Taiyu.

He's also part of Ren's team and when playing, he can be absolutely relentless and will call his opponents out on their weakness if they are not up to the level he views they should be.

He is a shy, taciturn and timid boy who doesn't stand out and has low self-confidence, yet is always kind and nice to everyone. Due to his friendship with Kai, he is in Ren's team of gamers and after he starts playing, he starts to come out of his shell and is more confident in himself. However, he loses his confidence easily, but since his friends are always there to back him up and support him, he regains his confidence once he feels he is doing well in a game and is determined not to let his friends down, so he does his best to win. This goes for both his studies and games.
He enjoys having fun, and is polite. During games and competitions, he is no longer timid and shy, but is calm, determined and confident. However, he worries deeply for his friends and refuses to leave his friends in trouble if he can help them, even when the circumstances dictate that it is a waste of valuable time.

Er... If you had an extra female I'd be of more help XD I prefer rping boys for some reason... despite being female... Anyway, I'm fine either way, though a plot might help? I'm not too sure...
